Andre Proulx has been a great part of the CFL landscape, hope to see him ref 400 more.

Andre looks like he has a good sense of humour and doesn't take himself so serious . He is probably well aware of his strong accent and laughs at it . He has to have very thick skin being a ref and have heard everything possible thrown at him with words .
The other ref also gets the gears for being fat .
Last night he was laughing at his own mistake pointing the wrong direction and being corrected by the Bomber player .
400 games is a significant accomplishment ; congrats Andre .

I enjoy games when Andre Proulx makes the calls in both languages , in Ottawa & Montreal for example , he’ s one of my favourites…

My problem isn't with his accent. My problem is that it seems like every time his crew is on the field, officiating appears to be a factor in the outcome.

I ran into Tom Higgins in the Regina airport one time in the waiting area, recognized him and chatted with him. At the time he was the head of officiating and he said Andre Proulx rated as one of the top referees. Take it for what it's worth. Also, every official is rated after every game much like a player is. According to Tom, Andre usually rated quite high. The fact he has officiated 9 Grey Cups may tell you something as they select the referees for that based upon who has graded out the best for the season. I'm not a pumper for Andre as I have been peeved at him and other officials like everyone else I assume, I'm only stating what I've been told. And again, you don't ref a championship game 9 times by being the worst ref.

Neither am I and I will be the first to tell you that the refs suck
I just know not to blame the head ref for a flag thrown 65 yards away by the line judge. And anyone who does simply does not understand how it works

This reminds me of a youtube baseball video I saw the other day by a fellow called Jomboy. Excelent baseball analysis videos
Anyway. There was a play at the plate. Home calls out. But it was challanged and overturned to safe. The coach comes storming out yelling and swearing at the ump. You can lip read the ump saying hey. Why are you blaming me. I called him out. The comand center overturned me. Go yell at them. I agree with you
Same here. Dont blame Proulx for PI call or non call. Its not his call

Andre isn't the greatest official in the CFL, but give me him 10 times out of 10 if the alternative is Bradbury.
I don't think we really have any crews that are amazing in the CFL, average is about the best we can ask for.
And I will make the same point about Bradbury
I think the crews are mixed as well, but it does not change anything because its not the head refs job to evaluate or discipline etc
