AMSOIL Power Rankings: How the turn tables

TORONTO — It was the very imitable Michael Scott, on the verge of convincing his former employer to buy out his independent paper company, who surmised a suddenly altered business landscape and dropped a mismatched pearl of wisdom that only he could: how the turn tables.

Outside of the Als, it’s a mess. That the Riders sit 2nd while winning only 1 game in their last 5 & BC can lose 3 straight, the last 2 in convincing fashion, & sit 4th is weird - yet can’t really say I disagree.

Argos at 5 - 4 with their QB situation
I’ll take that
Can’t wait for Kelly to return :ok_hand:

The West is shaping up to be a dawg fight
Second half of the season will be awesome :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::+1:

Wow a dated “The Office” reference. As if as of even in 2018, people were STILL watching that show about bygone office crap culture?

Ah well AMSOIL you are indeed you damn System, you certainly soiled yourself with this post!

Fix your damn system, System!

Just thought I’d better correct the writer about one thing: the Argonauts have already been to Saskatchewan (and lost) so their next game will be at home to the Roughriders (and we might well wonder why the 'Riders keep getting sent on long trips eastward on short weeks to play teams coming off byes?–this will be the third time this season for that to happen). Sure, there’s hassles for everyone–but that just looks suspicious!

I have wondered the same.

That’s what I was asking when I read this.
And then I came to - the top 3 should be MTL, Ottawa and Toronto.
West teams are sucking against east teams this year.
BC has been uneven - VA has run a bit hot and cold so far this season. Still 5 wins? 4th place.
If you go by stats, Saskatchewan looks like maybe there was some good luck in their start to the season - and other teams lacked preperation material for them.
But 5 strat without a win? 5th.
Then he tough one. Three wins yes. But two losses (Riders,Argos) after two wins (RB’s, Calgary) and a win over a letharic BC squad just say meh. Especially in light of the fact they are one whole game in front of the Elks. 6th.
From there on I’m fine. Hamilton just can’t seel to get it together, Calgary is almost good enough and the Elks need 3-4 more wins before they move up much.

I like your rankings better. Take away the Ticats & the East is 12-3-1 vs the West so those 3 top East teams probably should be tops. Riders beat Elks (could say they were given the game), Hamilton twice & a winless Wpg to start 4-0. The Mace story has yet to be told - tough road ahead.

Your Elks? The next 3 games will tell the tale of what kind of team they have. They rank top 3 in a lot of the offensive categories. The addition of Oakman beside Curtis gives the Elk a pretty good front 7 IMO. Anderson is a find - an NFL sized LB with VG speed & lateral movement. If the D comes around watch out. It may be that all they needed is the belief they can win. They’ve been somewhat snake bitten NOT to have 4 wins at least at this point. Really interested in how this team goes from this point on.

Kelly will be BOOED out of the league. This guy should have been tossed.

Anderson is an amazing athlete. And as a rookie- probably the outstanding rookie on defence in the west at least. If you notice three teams have two players in the top 10 players for defensive plays. Montreal, Ottawa and Edmonton. Which is why such a huge difference in how they play when they are not on the field 40 min. a game.

Damn you System and your stupid power rankings and old references to TV shows that were bad a long time ago.

But another week of games are upon us starting Thursday night, so now these rankings don’t matter.

So go soil yourselves for that too AMSOIL and you damn System!
