But - I think we can all agree, Jon, that we can finally put to rest all talk of a Bomber dynasty since the experts, like TSN, the Winnipeg Press, to mention two, have moved on & any talk of dynasties the past 3 years involves the Argos. You never paid much heed to the “experts” then.

Some folks are experts at moving the goalposts.

I have nothing against the Bombers. I think they’re still a good team. But certain Bomber fans seem to get apoplectic if you opine that their dynasty is over – that it was over in 2024, in fact, just papered over by a wind-assisted hot run to the division crown in a weak-ass division. Who knows? Maybe they start something new and exciting this year. They’re 0-0 so anything’s possible. But given that management strategy has been to stick with the same aging core with no successors in sight for some pretty dang key positions (QB1, left tackle, rush end), it’s hard to see this year as anything but an attempt to wring one more championship out of the current squad. Not dynasty material in my book, but others may have a vastly more expansive definition of the word…

If AMSOIL rankings were based on which squad makes the others SOIL their pants the most you’d see that scary good Bombers’ defense right at the top. Don’t know what kind of offense is going to show up for Thursday’s match against BC but maybe they’ll be able to sponge off the defense and win by getting their tans evened out on the sidelines (we have amazing tanning staff this year).
