Amerson to be on the staff next year?

With Archie helping out as head coach of the rookie camp, do you think there is a chance he gets a job coaching here next year?

is this a joke ... not a chance

No it isn't a joke. I have spoken to Archie many times and he has said that he would love to getr into coaching and why not on the team he gave everything to?

what did he give everything too. he played his ass off and got paid for it? Do you think he played for Hamilton or a pay check? it doesnt entitle him to a coaching job.

Head Coach! thats a little extreme, we all saw what happend when they hired a rookie head coach sure the 1st year was okay but after that it was all downhill, I would love to see Archie as the Wide Reciever Coach or OC and even thats a little strech.

He didn’t say head coach for the TiCats,
he said he was head coach for the Rookies camp. He said 'coaching’which could be in any area.

he was defacto receivers coach under the old owners after flutie retired, because we didn't have one (hey, we don't again!). i would have no problem with him being considered for that kind of position.

nah prime minister maybe

hes American. President

how about as a player?
His physical is tomorrow.

He can't do any worse than The current coaches

or players!

If we are to have a receivers coach next year, Archie could be a solid candidate, IMHO.

For that matter, an ideal defensive coaching candidate with experience is Less Browne.

Depending on their availability, these two men have the Hamilton connection and familiarity that would help round a new staff quite nicely. Browne is the greatest INT ballhawk in CFL history and would be a great asset to our DBs as a mentor.

We need more coaches on the staff, as far as I'm concerned. We need at least one more offensive coach on the next staff, either as a receivers coach and/or a passing offense specialist.

Defences in Canada have often been able to go without a specific secondary or linebackers coach. Offenses, however, need to have quality control on a sustained basis. We have seen this offense sputter because receivers are not running disciplined routes to get first-down coversion depth on a regular basis. Clearly the need is there.

If we could add two coaches (one offensive and one defensive) on the new staff, so much the better. We need coaches who can teach and can get players on the same page to work as cohesive units.

Cutting corners is not on anymore.

Oski Wee Wee,

the year we were short on cash and 1-17 arch stood in for the receivers as a player/coach i do recall,
