Altitude TV suddenly drops all CFL games

They obviously heard that Blue Rodeo was playing at half time.

I'm really sorry to hear this. I really hope the CFL can get their act together for you folks down south in the future. :cowboy:

those damn erectile disfunction and performance enhancement commercials are showing up everywhere. If I see them during a CFL game, then thats it for my family and the cfl

's'matter? You don't like Enzite? I hear that stuff really works

Maybe it hits a little too close to home... (Kidding of course!)

joke all you want, its highly inappropriate for what is supposed to be for the whole family.

Amen to that. It seems that three out of every four ads these days are for ED products. Its very repetitive and it sends the wrong message to our kids.

By the way, I see the games are still listed as being on MSG+ and CSN New England.

I can’t say I’ve ever seen a commercial for ED before midnight…

I dont share the outrage. They have the stuff painted on the hoods of stockars and no one complains, to me it is no different than a Depends, Tampax or similar commercial.

Here is one they pulled off the air here in Halifax cause people were offended
People are offended by everything these days. So they used a fat guy to make a joke so what ?
If they use someone too thin they are promoting anorexia, too fat they are making fun of fat people.

Was reading a review of the new tv show V and people are complaining that there are not enough black or hispanic actors and Why is the lone black guy one of the aliens. This week Oprah had to apologize to Robbing Givens cause she was toounderstanding of Mike Tyson.

Anyway enjoy Dancing Kevin....

I've seen Cialis commercials on during the day (and possibly during CFL games, I'm not sure). Like the one where the guy can't find his car keys, then goes to the garage and someone has let the air out of his tires.

But if your kids understand that commercial, then you really can't complain about them seeing it, because they obviously know a lot more about sex than you want to believe they do.

it the idea of say my preteen daughter asking me what the stuff is and is for etc, and what is erectile disfuntion and …

Also, they start off subtle, but over the yrs, unchecked, it will become more and more blatent

This may be due to the Bowmans on-field advertisments, as I believe on-line betting is illegal in the U.S. Every time Altitude shows the Bowmans logo, they are in fact promoting on-line gambling. Just a guess.

That commercial that BigDave is referring to is so subtle that even BigDave didn’t notice that it was the guy’s WiFE that let the air out his tires so he had to stay home from work. There is zero mention of ED in that commercial, and actually it is VERY adult and clever without being anything but incredibly subtle.

I can understand concern over those infernal Enzite commercials, because they’re written BY idiots FOR idiots and star lying idiots trying to sell CRAP to any damn fool, and there is NOTHING subtle about it. Those are not only inappropriate for family, they are inappropriate for anybody with half a wit. I find those offensive, annoying and really pretty disgusting. That Cialis commercial, on the other hand, is tasteful, intelligent, subtle, and VERY adult. No pre-teen should understand it.

The sponsorship in question is Extenze, a over-the-counter product promoted for extending a "certain part of the man's body."

I remember the hokey spots from watching the syndicated tv series Cheaters.

Blame America One for this debacle, not TSN.

Ol' man Stan is a wee bit on the conservative side.

:thdn:

Are you sure about that? I can see that product on the Walmart web site. Those must be provocative ads.

if you are right, then they are right to drop the games. Good on them.

I am sure. You can see the placement on the pregame and halftime shows where America One blacks out the TSN Bottom Line and added the Extenze logo on the black bar. They also show it when going to a commercial break while explaining to US viewers differences in rules of the game, i.e., end zones that are 20 yards deep.

ESPN360 will show the grey cup live.

i think the altitude excuse is pure B.S,

Oh no, couples that have been married for decades want to make love. That is pretty inappropriate. Especially since one of them can't physically do it. Thus, subtle ads for medication that can allow them to are also inappropriate.

Personally I don't see any issue with a preteen asking what ED is. Just because she (or any other preteen) knows what it is and knows that there are meds out there to help with it doesn't mean she's going to start doing anything differently.

Those extenze commercials are a different story. That product serves no function other than to dupe insecure men into thinking they're bigger. Those ads are not subtle and are inappropriate for prime-time TV. But, I haven't seen it advertised during any CFL games, either.
