MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes have signed American quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson for the 2025 season, the team announced on Monday.
Oh well good for that odd MBT Fan Club, most who were not fans of the Elks anyway, so they can flock away somewhere else finally with The Stork.
For the Als, well I suppose MBT will be the backup and mentor to Davis Alexander?
We’ll see what the fans of the Als think now.

I believe that time will prove and tell that the Al’s got fleeced on this deal . They will be in a world of hurt if Alexander goes down for any length of time this season and they find themselves having to rely on the Geico man to bail them out .
I’m not a fanboy of MBT’s, but I do think this signing fills a clear need for the Als. He’s the veteran backup and that is 100% obvious to both the org and MBT himself. No ambiguity.
The concern with some Als fans is if he can be the supportive backup QB to Alexander for a full season without trying to climb into the spotlight.
