Official release, Montreal - Montreal Alouettes’ VP and General Manager Jim Popp announced today the signings of quarterbacks Adrian McPherson and Ricky Santos.

McPherson (6’3, 220 lbs.) has five years of experience in professional football including two with the New Orleans Saints (2005, 2006). He also played in the Arena Football League with the Austin Wranglers, the Grand Rapids Rampage, the Utah Blaze and the Indiana Firebirds. He is 24.

Santos (6’2, 215 lbs.), established several team records while with the New Hampshire Wildcats, including the marks for the more career passing yards (13,212), passing touchdowns (123) and completions (1,122). He won the 2006 Walter Payton trophy, given to top offensive player in division I-AA of the NCAA. He is 24.

Could all of these qb's being signed, a sign that they are not 100% sure of AC being top shape? Or do they just wanna have a good 1-2-3 punch?

They load up on QBs every year.
Signing now does not mean they will be on the team after training camp

Training camp fodder in all likelihood. I"m content with Brady and Harris behind AC.

Saw Santos play for New Hampshire and he has all the tools of a CFL QB and a good head.

Mcpherson's a huge talent but wasn't developed properly due to behavior problems at FSU.

Both are very acurate arms.

Good luck to them
