Als' sights set on home playoff game following win over Bombers

MONTREAL —  With the Montreal Alouettes and Hamilton Tiger-Cats tied at 12 points apiece in the East Division, the Als have their sights set on handling business and hosting a home playoff game.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at

It appears that the Alouettes will have an easy opponent for their goal of hosting a home playoff game in the Redblacks. On the other hand, the Tiger-Cats opponent may choose to rest assets such as players Fajardo and Duke Williams because they have locked up a home playoff spot and probably will not play the Cats after this last season game.

Can the befuddled Tiger-Cats regroup and execute like a Grey Cup-looking team to soundly defeat the Roughriders whose hearts and minds will surely be focused on their home semi-final and a Grey Cup appearance? If those Tiger-Cats look like last week against the Argos this season will be known as the Lost Season for the great city of Hamilton. :hammer: :hammer: :hammer:

There is a lot on the line for Montreal so they will play to win… just like Hamilton will. As for the rest of the playoff teams… the playoffs are set in stone already.

The biggest game of the week will be between the Lions and the Elks as one of them will break the loosing streak and go home on a high…

A well coached football team should always try to achieve the home field advantage prior to entering the playoffs. With that being said the Als are in a favorable situation in Week 16. The visiting Redblacks have not won versus the Als this season 0-3. Therefore the current line of 12.5 points for the betting line should be "no problem" for the Als. :100:

P.S. In addition to above, it is very important to be coming off a win in your final league game for "momentum" towards the upcoming playoffs. :bangbang:
