Richard

Wayyyyy off topic, but do you think this is the year 86 is retired? No 86 at camp this year makes me believe so.

Regarding the Import defensive linemen it shall read: 1 or 2 amongst: Ejiro Kuale, Aaron Lavarias,Mike Lockley and Cyrill Obiozor.

Maybe they're waiting for Calvillo to retire, so they can retire both 13 and 86 at the same time.

Also, out of curiosity, Richard, which defensive end do you find most promising right now to complement Bowman?

The defensive end that I would select, beside Bowman, is Cyril Obiozor.

Richard

For me it's between Obiozor and Lockley, the second-year man. Lockley has more CFL experience, but Obiozor seems to have had a strong preseason and his extra height (6'4'' to Lockley's 6'2'') may help him deal with one-on-one matchups against offensive tackles.

True, but you're not going to start an inferior player at defensive end, one of the most important positions on the team, just because he brings more as an ST player than the other guy. We absolutely need a good bookend to John Bowman and we need the best player available. Regardless of who wins the spot, I want the best DE to win.

Mike Lockley has been cut

Rick Moffat ?@RickMoffat 2m #Als have let former Jags property Mike Lockley go. 3 sacks for Als in '12.

Mike Klassen has made the team, Scooter Berry, Moton Hopkins...

Nothing really surprising here. I feel bad for Lockley, and I hope he catches on somewhere else, but Obiozor outplayed him in preseason and he's bigger to boot. Hopkins, Berry, and Cash should be a very solid trio of DTs with Adebayo as the NI backup.

Edit: Actually, it's surprising to see Klassen make it. Kudos to that young man for bringing it in camp!

Rick Moffat ?@RickMoffat 20s Former Patriots property Aaron Lavarias, DE, told he's staying. #Als
So Lavarias and Obiozor ? Can't wait to see if Kuale stays.

Can't see Kuale staying since they don't seem to have any plans to play him at LB and we're not going to carry four import DEs on the roster. That's assuming they don't cut Obiozor of course.

From Rick Moffat. Good news for Tyron Carrier. Held out this wk cuz of ankle but he's an #Alouette
Rick Moffat ?@RickMoffat 22s Scored TD but headed back to Jersey. Michael Campbell "not my time."

Good move. He showed well in the first preseason game and he gives us a different type of option from our trio of bigger receivers (London, Green, Richardson).

Alan-Michael Cash ?@RichBoy49 2s Thank god for allowing me to fulfill my dreams and making the the roster for the Montreal Alouettes
