Any time the Bombers lose, the sun shines a little brighter here in Saskatchewan. Give them credit though for mounting that comeback when it looked like Montreal was going to run away with it.

Zach made a fantastic comeback effort in the second half, but the Bomber defence failed to stop Alexander’s mighty passing attack in this game. It must be another universe today because Brady was absent as a runner and receiver.

That’s because OC Jason Hogan is out of his league and has never had a coherent offensive strategy in any game he has ever called. He, and Collaros need to step down and make way for the new day. Oh, and take DC Jordan Younger with you….

Wow, it turned out to be closer than I thought! I wasn’t willing, then able, to watch after it was 24-3 and then the fumble but i do know CFL games can change in the 2nd half.

On a side note, I had to turn the volume down to almost nothing as the background noise was so annoying, it sounded like a steady train horn when the Bombers were on offense. I thought there were rules (if not, there should be) as to what kind of noisemakers are allowed in the stands.

Collaros wasnt the problem. Bombers Oline was terrible most of the game and most of the regular season as well. Collaros doesnt have time like he was used to the last 4 years.

There are rules but the security guards are Alouette fans.

I never expected the Bombers to win today but also knew better than to count them out. It looked like a blowout and they made a game of it so hats off to them on that point. They finally showed regression this year and like my riders have to figure things out at qb next season. Problem for the Bombers is they have a lot more than quarterback to worry about as they were weaker in almost every area but most importantly at offensive line. I’ve seen some quick mini rebuilds work in this league before but I’d be happy to see them suffer for a season or two before they are truly competitive again. I’ll admit that minus multiple grey cup upset losses they had a real powerhouse dynasty over the last 5 seasons.

The Bombers made 2 mistakes in the off season. Letting Lawlyer go and most importantly giving the OC reins to a rookie/inept OC. Every DC across the league could read the Bomber playbook. Receivers who couldn’t get open. Throwing into double and triple coverage. Collaros running for his life on most plays. Throwing desperate passes. Cripes! it was a mess. This guy couldn’t call a cab never mind call a play. Now with an aging QB and a receiving core that can’t help their QB…fire him and get someone who has imagination.

Rod Smith is incredibly adept at telling us things we already know.

Bombers first half was pretty ineffective. 200% better in the second half…….but it’s hard to win games with only one good half. Zach played his heart out but he sure needed Nic Demski… didn’t he?

Davis Alexander is the new kid on the block. Lot of potential there. Bright future for the Alouettes if he avoids injury. He will win a cup or two…..just hope it isn’t this year.

Close game but I reckon that the team that deserved to win…..did win.

I believe mechanical noise makers are not allowed….as for your point about their should be rules….every stadium has horns blaring

That is true but this was something above and beyond that, especially considering the rather sparse crowd there.

19335 is hardly sparse….
And I think there were simply lung powered horns…..just lots of them

Crazy that they had 7k less people than the announced crow of 26,384 in bc and they were much louder and looked bigger….

Crowd will always look bigger in a smaller stadium

Montreal home crowd is usually loud and boisterous since we exited our franchise “dark age” and especially since Alexander took over as QB. Players and coaches have talked about it repeatedly. Crowd noise typically forces visiting teams into at least one or two procedure penalties per game.

That would be FEWER people. But yeah the crowd was small for an eastern semi.

There is a massive transit strike going on in Montreal, in case you didn’t know.

I read there was no bus or metro service at all yesterday, and parking in not easy from what I have heard
