Alouettes and Stampeders share points after tightly-contested affair

CALGARY — Looking to stay in the playoff conversation in a tightly-contested West Division after losing four straight, the Calgary Stampeders couldn’t hold on for a crucial home win over the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday. The Als and Stamps put a bow on Week 15 with a tightly-contested affair which couldn’t be decided in overtime as it finished 19-19 from McMahon Stadium.

I am neither a Montreal nor Calgary fan, but if I am the Stamps coach I am calling out and fining the two lunkheads who took back to back 15 yard penalties when the Stamps were in deep and could have locked this game up. The fans must be disgusted.

Hopefully Shawn Lemon gets reinstated by the CFL on the Montreal Alouettes roster immediately. The CFL does promote in the background at least 7 betting sites after all. “Shawn Lemon’s one time mistake” doesn’t compare to Chad Kelly’s reasons for being suspended. Shawn Lemon, he’s sorry, the CFL and the Alouettes need Shawn Lemon, a man of impeccable character status.

Couldn’t agree more… It’s a bloody joke Kelly is playing yet Lemon remains ineligible.

I agree with the others, if you’re going to let Chad play with the Argos, you need to let Shawn back in to play with the Al’s.
It’s just another example of the contradictory nature of league leadership.

Chad gets a “last chance” agreement, yet goes online to insinuate he’ll take revenge for those who stood up to anti sexual abuse violence and to get back those who had the courage to stand up and criticize him.
Plus Chad has a history of mentally ill behavior.

Yet Shawn made a 5 dollar bet, he gets no last chance agreement and gets thrown out of the league.
What kind of league is this?

In legal speak, you shouldn’t bring Kelly into your argument wishing for a Lemon. Kelly did his time for the crime. :hourglass:

Disgusted barely covers it. I did not see either play, one a facemark, one a headbutt after the whistle. Facemasks can happen inadvertently, but should still be penalized. Headbutting after the whistle is inexcusable. I hope he’s introduced at the next home game and booed by the fans.

Another fine example of the (CFL) Canadian Football League contradicting itself as the league signs an agreement with BC Lottery for game betting. Montreal Alouettes Shawn Lemon needs his playing rights reinstated immediately.
