And in my opinion there are not enough new posters on this board.
There are 8000 Als season ticket holders, 20,000 attending games. Yet there are (with all due respect) only about 10 regular posters here.
Really a very small sample size of Alouette fandom.
Wish there was a way to attract more. The link to the Forums is even hidden on the CFL website.

When I see the number of views the team’s videos get and the number of likes their tweets get, it makes me wonder how many fans actually care about online content regarding the team.
I used to think it was a language thing, that only English speakers felt comfortable here. But some of the best posters are francophones.
It is likely that most don’t even know the Forum exists.

I have often wondered as well why there are not more regular posters here. Seems strange considering the Als have thousands of fans (if not more).

Ironically, French is my native language, but I feel more comfortable typing in English. 
When I look at the #alsmtl hashtag on Twitter, I don’t see fans talking about the team. So I think it’s just a general lack of interest that isn’t specific to this website. To be frank, I didn’t care either until a couple years ago.
I don’t expect the Als to match Habs fandom, but there has to be more than 10 people wanting to talk about the team considering the numbers I mentioned previously.
If not we’ll just have to appreciate what we have I guess.

Message boards are early-aughts tech. Younger fans probably don’t even know what they are. For communication, platforms like Discord have become the standard.
More fans should post here, but OTOH, the Als forum is the second most active CFL forum, behind Hamilton.
Je me suis joint au forum des Alouettes au mois de mars 2023, je suivais les activités du forum comme lecteur, puisque je suis plus à l’aise pour lire (mais pas à 100%) en anglais que d’écrire, donc j’hésitais à m’inscrire.
Il existe un forum football en français, mais aucune activité récente.
Il y a deux (2) ans, j’ai pris la décision de devenir membre du forum des Alouettes et je ne le regrette nullement, de m’être joint à un groupe de passionnés des Alouettes où les échanges et les diverses opinions sont reçues avec respect où les diverses nouvelles des Alouettes et de la CFL sont soulevés et discutées.
Pour augmenter le nombre de collègues, est-ce qu’il est possible de le faire de la « publicité « via le site CFL.ca et LCF.ca?

Intéressante discussion à propos de l’intérêt des amateur-es concernant les alouettes.
Le contexte étant le suivant pour la grande région de montréal , on estime la population à 3.3 millions de personnes ou quelque part dans ces eaux-là, pour une foule moyenne de 21500 personnes au match locaux. Peut-on espérer dénicher une plate forme d’échange qui rassemblerait au delà de 2 000 personnes ou plus comme cela est le cas pour le canadien à RDS par exemple. Je ne pense pas.
Qu’il y ait ce forum à laquelle je me suis inscrit il y a un an déjà, je trouve cela très bien. Effectivement il n’y a pas foule, mais c’est tout de même mieux à tous les points de vue que les discussions sur RDS après chaques évènements des alouettes où au mieux 2 personnes écrivent leurs commentaires. C’est la réalité, et elle n’est pas triste à mes yeux. Je dirais même que ce forum (en ce qui concerne les francophones, je ne peux me prononcer pour les anglophones.) gagnerait à être connu : échange de fond, respecteux et passionné.

As I said earlier, we’ve got the second most active team forum here. You should check out some of the other team forums. Tumbleweed rolling through 'em.
I’d love more Als fans here but I also appreciate what we have built.

The Argos, Bombers, Stamps, Elks, Riders, Lions all have healthy independent fan forums, the likely reason for light traffic here. Each with far more than 10 posters.

Absolutely, but you go from a guy who you wanted to develop as an eventual starter to a Special Team guy.
80 percent or more of the fan base is francophone. They hang out mostly on the RDS comment section and the team’s Facebook page. It is like comparing a pineapple with a beet. 
It’s a moot point at the moment but I always considered him SAM material.

I get that, but again, our team forum is more active than SSK’s forum! What’s their excuse? 
Fans hanging out on a Facebook page tells me the team is missing an opportunity to engage with younger people. Facebook is an old person’s platform (and I say that as a FB user). No Gen Z person is going to use FB except maybe to communicate once a year with older family members. 
Discord, TikTok, and maybe Instagram are what young people use at the moment.
