Hopefully they take their time with him.

I am confident that they will be cautious with our star Canadian receiver. At this point, it’s an opportunity for someone else to show what they can do in training camp, so there’s actually upside here.

ATFL surgery recovery time is 9 to 12 months. but success rate is 97 percent. For elite athletes probably higher. At this point Swelling and stiffness is what’s left to monitor.

Not where I wanted to see him signed but at least he has surfaced.

Now do I wish him luck or hope he is quickly released? :grinning:

Even odds we see the sexual harasser behind centre in our week 1 game against Toronto.

Jim Barker said 2 days ago that after seeing Chad Kelly in-person at Argo Rookie Camp, he thought Kelly would start the season on the 6-game Injured List.

If we are going to continue to refer to Kelly as a sexual harasser will the same apply to Shawn Oakman?

Oakman was acquitted of his charges. Kelly was confirmed to have done what his victim alleged. Not even close to being comparable so you can save the low-key trolling.

And neither was Kelly convicted of anything in a court of law.

Anyway, leaving aside this pettiness, I wonder if Sutherland will stick this time. Feels like this is his last kick at the can.

Raiders HC Pete Carroll knows Sutherland from their time in Seattle, might be a reason he was signed.

Both … potentially best for Als if he is cut quickly, best for him if he makes the team

P.S. In my opinion there are too many overlapping threads on this board.

I think he’s a write off. What is a 28 year old rookie arriving in September worth ?
= Rookie minimum contract.

If he doesn’t make the Raiders he would still be an asset to the Als whether this season or next.

No team can afford to lose a first round draft pick even if they have to wait.

You can’t please everyone. Some people love everything in one thread; some people (like me) prefer a bit more organization to discussions, which is basically standard on any type of message board or Discord server or whatever.

I feel like threads for training camp, general discussion, free agency, and draft are fair and meaningful divisions. It’s pretty easy to know where to put what.

The main problem I’m seeing is that people don’t pick threads based on the info they’re posting but rather based on the timing of the year. So basically any news posted during training camp gets posted in the dedicated thread even if it actually belongs to free agency or some such. Seen similar stuff during the draft.
