Wishing our GM a speedy recovery!
For those unaware:
Sad to see him leave the Bombers, even sadder about this. I hope he pulls through.
Wishing him all the best in what is hopefully a full recovery. Cancer sucks.
Go Ted and SCREW CANCER!
You don’t recover from cancer, it’s not a cold. People survive cancer, not recover from it.
He gets his Boyhood dream job and now he has cancer
I hope he beats the hell out of this damn thing
Nothing would make a grey cup win sweeter than if he’s cancer-free holding that grey cup
Hoping that Ted has a strong and courageous battle against his cancer.
It’s extremely tough and I know everyone wishes him a positive outcome.
Oh, man.
Not the kind of news you want to hear on the eve of our opening game of the season.
I think all of us fans were super happy to have Ted join our Hamilton Tiger-Cats family. Ted will now kick cancers ass and be our GM for many more years.
Go Ted. We all have your back.
Oh how sad - he’s only 55.
If it’s esophageal cancer (source was league officials) at stage 4, the prognosis is not good (only 5% survive beyond 4 years). They say that the diagnosis was in April of this year, but that might be when they discovered the metastases - I wonder if the initial cancer was diagnosed a while ago, and they expected it could be controlled. If it’s only stage 3 (cancer spread to nodes only), his prognosis is better (20% survive).
Hang in there Ted!
This absolutely sucks. Not much else to add.
Agreed
I’m not a religous guy
but
You can beat this, Ted.
Wishing Strength, courage to Ted, beat this thing!
All the best Ted! Its a tough fight but just dont give up! Im at Juravinski fighting liver cancer. I will not give up and want to still go to a few home games this season
Go @MtnCat Go!
Hey Ted, will keep you in our prayers for a speedy recovery and sending you positive vibes and know you will fight this. Take care and hope you won’t be in too much discomfort
if Ted is is in Juravinki Cancer Centre. he’s in great hands .
Sorry to hear this MtnCat.
You have a great attitude about this. Keep fighting and kick cancers ass.
