Afterburn Polo at Ticat Store

I'm not sure if this has ever been brought up, but I do like the style of the Reebok Afterburn and Black Polos at the Ti-Cat store. The problem, they are $69.99! I'm all for supporting the team, but this paticular price point on this piece of merchandise has always bothered me, especially since they have other 100% polyester polos for cheaper at the store. Your thoughts?

Sounds like they realize these two polos are more desireable than the other ones and have priced them accordingly. Material doesn’t play into it much: all of these items are way cheaper to produce than they retail for. They can get away with charging a premium for more attractive styles, so they do.

When I was in town for the pre-season, I bought a Contact Polo, which has a similar design, the same material, and the same price. It is a bit pricey, but comparable to the price of my running shirts, which are made up of a similar material (i.e. polyester designed to wick moisture away from your body and keep you dryer and feeling cooler). It's a tad more expensive than those, but that's probably because, not only are you paying for the Reebok brand, but also the TiCats and CFL brands.

The thing that struck me about them is that I bought a small and it's still somewhat loose, where as normally I need a large.

8) You do get a discount on merchandise at the store (10-15%) if you are a season ticket holder.
   You're right "Picat", they are very large fitting shirts for sure !!

I know, but I’m not about to drop nearly $70 after tax on a golf shirt, when I could buy three other shirts made of cotton, which is a lot more comfortable for the same price.

Sounds like a deal, get your golf shirts in black, yellow and white. Otherwise you're paying the price of fashion.

The reason they are $69.99 is because they are Reebok products. The Reebok sideline polo has always been around that price, if i'm not mistaken they were $79.99 in years past. Now in comparison to some of the other polo shirts they carry, their home made shirts are obviously going to be cheaper. They are pretty poor quality in comparison to the RBK shirts. The cost to produse those is probably minimal in comparison with buying the RBK products. The sideline fleece is the same story, excellent quality but you are paying for quality and the RBK logo on it

They're nice shirts, but not $70 nice.

8) Ahh, but then you don't have an official TiCat Coaches shirt, with all the cresting on it !!
 If you want the real thing, you have to pay the piper !!     <!-- s:wink: -->:wink:<!-- s:wink: --> <!-- s:wink: -->:wink:<!-- s:wink: -->
