Well just when you think and indeed TSN has done a great job in covering the league, it's the old one step forward and two backwards.
Right after the game and we have previously said they could have stayed with the game for the post panel comments, but as usual the game ended and with Sportscentre being next.
I am waiting for the opening lead story without question the game of the year and of the night in any sport.
No story number one - who cares about conman Michael Vick signing.
Than story number two- golf and this is NOT EVEN a sport.
Finally story number three a quick highlite package, no interviews yet, no panel comments yet.
A shame on you TSN I am going to email them.
Good call! Absolute BS! I'm listening to the 5th Quarter on 630CHED on the web and it's great, interviews with Coach Hall and Ricky Ray in the locker room. Great radio but where the hell is the Toronto sport? network? Nowhere baby, nowhere.
And you're right, golf is a recreation, not a sport.   :x :thdn:
Absolute BS, Coverage of a criminal returning to play should never take the headline away from what could well be the best regular season game ever. Not sure at all what you said in the last sentance but this is Canada and todays game should be the lead story.
...did you guys ever think that the program isn't exactly 'live' and is more than likely being prerecorded while the game is going on?...and even if it is relatively close to being 'live' it would still take time to produce a segment based on the game, replays, quotes, interviews...
...holey moley you're all quick to jump down the throat of the TV Network that is actually playing every game this year...hwo soon we forget how CBC ran things...
...here, I'll toss you bone, TSN's website has the game as it's leading story, with Vick and Golf ranking lower:
Those bastards! Yes, let's go back to the CBC! They treated the game with respect! I remember one game when they didn't bother us with any commentary for the first 1 1/2 quarters. I remember another game between Edmonton and Saskatchewan when they spared us from watching the end of a barn burner by showing us a Nick Nolte movie. They truly knew how to take care of the CFL and its fans. Please, CBC, take the CFL back! TSN is filled with a bunch of CFL hating meanies!
Apparently none of the previous posters on this thread play golf. If they did they would have appreciation for the level of skill and precision the PGA pros have - not to mention, have you ever looked at the physique of some of these guys? Tiger is as pumped and buff and ANYONE in the CFL. Villegas has pythons for arms.
Try walking and playing a 6000 yard course sometime, all the while excersising the skill it takes to make the shots consistently.
I love the CFL more than any other sport or game, but to say that golf is not a sport in this era is simply ignorant or out of touch with reality.
Maybe you should learn to read, only one of the previous posters criticized golf. What I and many others are saying is that there is no way that a preliminary round of golf should take precedence over this game.
Golf is a sport.
However, Tiger woods is not as buff and pumped as ANYONE in the CFL! That is a gross exagerration!
Just because Kabongo #56 (OL) might not be able to walk 6000 yard course doesn't mean Tiger can throw like Burris.
Golf is a much different kind of sport.
And for the record, I could walk 6000 yards in a day, but I could not play pro-football.
Im sure the lead story and most of the coverage on Friday night Football will be this game . besides its late in TO and it was past Randorfs bedtime ,Clime had a date,, Dunigin had to cook something, and shultz well not sure where he went maybe to eat what dunigin was cooking.
Sportsnet had the game as its lead story and it doesn't even televise any CFL games! Honestly, like they couldn't have ran the CFL game coverage over the 12th edition of Sportscentre of the day or failing that, at least have the very game your station televised as your lead story or have a segment with the panel somewhere in the broadcast.
Whatever, I watched the game in it's entirety and actually with Sportscentre on right after the game, I didn't need to see the highlights in the next 5 minutes to be honest. Maybe what TSN could do is put immediate post-game interviews and highlights on TSN2 if that is possible, sort of like the NFL Network does. You know, big games in the NFL cut out right after for local news like someone broke their leg in a boating accident in Lake Erie near Buffalo, something you'd see on a Buffalo TV network.
So please, let's stop blaming TSN, the network that ponied up the most money for the rights to carry CFL football. That's all I ask and some others. Some people are just getting ridiculous bashing the network that put their money where their mouth is.
TSN DON`T THEY COVER THE CFL, THEY HAVE ALL THE GAMES RIGHT, NO OTHER NETWORK, RIGHT!
WELL YOU WOULDN`T KNOW IT!
I THINK IT WAS A DISGRACE ON THEIR PART, BRING CFL BACK TO CBC!
MICHAEL VICK animal killer and mad man Woods, are more important then our game, and the CFL who TSN is suppose to be promoting and televising. I listening to Football Friday and it`s all NFL talk not even talking about the biggest CFL game of the year and probably the best football game ever, best I ever watched.
I and many CFL fans are tried of the media and TSN PUTTING THE CFL ON THE BACK BURNER AND not giving the CFL what it deserves. They are stll talking over a half hr. on the fan about the NFL not a word about last nites CFL best game of the year.
TSN AND THE MEDIA IN CANADA ARE SO BRAINEDWASHED NFL AND I BELIEVE ARE MORE AMERICAN THAN CANADIAN. TSN SHOULD LOSE CFL FOOTBALL, CBC WERE BETTER AND SHOWED MORE RESPECT FOR THE CFL AND STARTED THE CFL ON CBC AND MADE THE CFL.
Tsn are too American , SHOULD BE CAlled TSNNFL
