AAF blunder #9304-4223

Nor, apparently, can you. Also irony?

How in the heck do you just up and move a championship game to another stadium almost half way across the country. Wouldnā€™t you be bummed if you planned a week-end in Vegas, and now wind up in Frisco, Texas, where ever that is?

Thatā€™s where all the die-hard AAF fans live. ;D

They moved it to The Star, which is the Dallas Cowboys training facility. Itā€™s an indoor stadium used for lots of things. Jerry Jones offered the option; AAF apparently liked it better than UNLVā€™s Sam Boyd Stadium (which is generally in bad shape, which is why the Raiders havenā€™t been using it while their new LV stadium is under construction).

The Star is actually a pretty nice facility.

Sam Boyd stadium, Anthony Calvilloā€™s first Pro gig, with the Las Vegas Posse.

Was a dump back then.

The April 27 date is about a month away and the venue has been changed . That is a significant sign . The stadium capacity has been changed from 36 K to 12K. Thereā€™s a message there, too.

These signs donā€™t suggest object permanence to me . Of course, Iā€™ve been wrong before. I recall back in 1953 ā€¦ . Itā€™s a long story.

Pat Lynch (just winding down the biological clock)

Next time it will be a franchise that relocatesā€“assuming the AAF returns for a second year.

The AAF media (3downnation) reports the league is in danger of folding.

Should that happen and should Mark Chapman decide to continue playing football, heā€™d be free to choose here, this year, or XFL2, if it actually gets going, next year.

And 3downnation will laugh at the folly of it all when it does foldā€¦
and memory-hole when it breathlessly tried to make the league a dagger pointed at the heart of the CFL.

ā€¦and Drew will find a way to make it all Manzielā€™s fault. ;D

ā€¦and a seamless transition to XFL Poses Mortal Danger To CFL stories.

isnā€™t it?

Should be the AAF/Manziel/NFL Pre-Season game/etc mediaā€¦

This has not been a good week for Johnny Football . His wife left him. His team will miss the playoffs in the AAF. He was concussed in the last game . This would be a country and western ballad if only Johnny could sing . The good news is that his dog is still alive.

Heā€™ll probably run in 2020 in a congressional district in Texas . ;D

Pat Lynch (the old guy)

Terrible week for Johnny, tragic week for Seafiddle?
