A win, but U-G-L-Y...

I say let them lose all they want now.
They only need to start winnng in Oct and Nov!

arm a little tired?
nice to hear he wants to play a couple of years more---he has so much to learn---
like--how to play a full year in the CFL (bigger, wider field) and barely have a 10yrd avg.
ps Ibedell---have you seen a CIS game?

I've seen several CIS games. Will be at the Vanier Cup this year, in fact.

Yards per completion is no indication of arm strength, by the way. It takes less arm to throw a 40-yard pass up the seam than it does an 11-yard out to the wide side.

Also, you have to factor in yards after catch into your logic. A QB's yards per completion average is much more an indication of what's happening with the ball once it's caught than the distance it's thrown. Teams do not typically throw balls in excess of 35 yards downfield more than a half dozen times a game because of the low completion rate of those passes.

Coaches tend to look at yards per attempt anyway, and AC's is around 7.3 this year. Ricky Ray's is 7.6, and he's generally considered the best deep ball thrower in the game right now. I don't think that .3 difference warrants putting AC out to pasture.

Average passing yardage is calculated as yards/attempts and not yards/compt.
His stats are as follows
2000 = 9.83
2001 = 8.91
2002 = 8.81
2003 = 8.73
2004 = 8.76
2005 = 8.41
2006 = 7.37
2007 = 7.33

Yes there is a slight drop but far less signifacant than your numbers.
A normal drop between the ages of 26 and 34.
And it's hard to get higher numbers when the OC keeps calling for 5 yard passes
