Hey everyone, just wanted to share my latest video, A Tale of Two Returners!
In this one, I break down the rise of James Letcher Jr. in Montreal and the struggles of Mario Alford in Saskatchewan. Would love to hear your thoughts on it 
I’m still pretty new to making videos, so feel free to drop any feedback or tips!
Fair comments on the video. I’m wondering if Craig Dickenson getting canned had an effect on Saskatchewan’s special teams performance. Obviously the Riders are a better team now but Corey Mace would emphasize defence.
As for Montreal, they are very well coached and special teams success isn’t surprising.
What I noticed right away in the video is that Letcher catches the ball and immediately is moving forward with it. Alford is either backpedalling/running back/losing momentum catching it one way while collecting himself to go the other way.
Another thing is that Letcher doesn’t let the ball bounce which would lead to slower returns and potential fumbles.
To me, that shows that Letcher has a better eye on the ball while it is kicked and in the air where it seems Alford is a bit late reacting post-kick.
Great blocking absolutely helps Letcher too, but I think him getting his feet set under the ball is a primary factor here.
I think the video is high quality. I’m not sure where your end goal is with this. If its to get into the football scouting ranks, I think this is well on the right track. You’ll want to get these videos in the hands of the right people (probably not Paul Boudreau).
If its for entertainment purposes, you’ll want sound less scripted and more dynamic.
I agree with BomberJunkie. High-quality, informative video that just needs a bit more animation and excitement in the narration.
One small error: on Letcher’s punt-return TD against Toronto, he couldn’t have received a block from Kerfalla Exumé, because Exumé isn’t an Alouette, he’s an Argo. Did you mean to say that the block was on Exumé?
