A gem from Miller in the paper this morning......

When asked about the continued dismal effort in the third quarter this was his response:

“To hell with the third quarter”…There is no such thing as a moral victory, but our men sent a message to the rest of the league that the Riders are a team to be reckoned with"

I guess to Miller, mediocrity is good enough, Austin would never have settled for this BS play in the third quarter without ripping someones head off.

Tillman/Tamon - wake up and see that your players have no confidence in Miller and his staff, we need a gutting of the coaching staff.

Wow, what ever happened to the," we need to play a whole 60 minutes" speech one would expect from a head coach. Instead we get the ," who cares if we don’t score any points in the third quarter, we’ll fight to the end after that, we’ll likely lose, but we’ll show those opponents that we can fight when it’s too late!" ???

No, I agree with him. The 3rd quarter needs to be bundled up and shipped directly to hell. Do not pass purgatory. Do not collect $200.

I don't think Ken Miller meant that the third quarter does not matter but I think he was saying that despite the thrid quarter the Riders played a hell of a game and left it all out there on the field. How can you bad mouth a guy for complimenting his players on a hard played game.

In yesterday's game, you can't really say Sask O didn't make adjustments or look good in the third quarter, because they weren't on the field for most of it! My Als dominated time of possession to the tune of something like 11 minutes. When the Riders got the ball in the fourth quarter, they had no trouble making plays, moving the chains, and posting a major. The defense played well all night, but during that quarter, Montreal was able to string together a long drive and score a TD to keep Durant & co. off the field. Considering how effective your D was otherwise in limiting Calvillo's passing yards, I don't really see a problem. The other team gets paid to play too.

I had no issues with what Ken said until I saw your response.
Now I am positive there is nothing wrong with what was said......

Good for you.

Maybe Ken should try using some different expletives to his players when referring to poor play. "Fanny's" just isn't getting through to them maybe??!! LOL!
