A Battle of Losers

Its almost half time in our “so called” big Labour Day Extravaganza and it appears to me that both of these teams stink, particularly us.

I would presume that in watching this tragedy, those who are Chang fans will have little to say following this game. Timmy actually looks like a deer in headlights out there and I find myself feeling sorry for him.

He has grossly underestimated the speed and talent of the Argo defense and as the game progresses, poor Timmy looks like he would rather be back in Hawaii or even hell than on the field at Ivor Wynne.

Bauman is still doing what he does best by dropping passes that him him right on the numbers.

We have no running game to speak of and with Jesse Lumsden having a shoulder injury since the Edmonton game, I’d say his future as a Ticat is an uncertainty, particularly since he may bolt to the NFL again next year.

Our offensive line continues to behave like swiss cheese and our secondary continues to get beaten.

Jason Armstead shows good speed but is making more than his share of mistakes out there.

I don’t know whats coming in the second half, but I would anticipate more of the same.

The success of a football team is contingent most of all on the play of the quarterback, and lets face it folks, we don’t have one.

Mr. Young, if its the last thing you do, get Printers into a Ticat uniform. This won’t solve all of out technical problems but getting an actual starting QB would certainly be helpful. :thdn:

GEE! IT's going to be quiet around here
if the Chang FANS shout up!

Do you have something against fans calling for a QB change after our starter goes 5-19?..it’s not the fan’s fault that we never had a #2 that was ready to play…

…quit blaming fans for calling for a QB that can do the job…the neglect by the Ticats management in this area has been going on for almost a decade…the fans see it but the Ticats organization continues to ignore it…

…yes, bring in Printers if we must…as of yesterday I never thought it was necessary but clearly it is…

....quit blaming fans for calling for a QB that can do the job..

Who said Chang could do the job. Not me. Any one
who knows football. knows you work in a rookie over
time . you don't ask the team to replace a
experienced QB for a rookie. Thats what the fans
whated and thats what they got.
Now you may have ruined changs confedence and it will
take longer to develop him.

How many starts has Chang had? Just checking. LMAO

Bad teams get better by having a program and sticking to it. I-told-you-so's in this context ring lame. Sorry.

A QB change has to be made for the long term viablity of the team. Whether Chang is a bust after one start is highly dubious to say because the defence being faced is pretty damned good, IMHO.

The Printers angle will play itself out. He would be an upgrade. BIG TIME no shite Sherlock. LOL

Rebuilding does not entail Easy Bake Oven recipes to instant success. Fingerpointing in the middle of a rubble pile is not my idea of sport.

That Maas to Ralph bomb for a TD was.

There no use arguing about this, I saw it
coming. MAAS is in. Chang is out. Now we can work on the real problem- O-line.and the
offensive co-ordinaters job.

Has anyone in authority actually said this? How can you be certain Tim Change won't start again next week.

I see it this way: If we are lucky enough to secure Printers as our starter, Maas and his huge contract (In excess of $300,000.) becomes expendable in order free up the maximum amount of monies to pay Printers and remain under the salary cap.

Start Maas and give Chang te second half (my idea). Taaffe said that it's too early to make that decision, everybody needs to examine the game tapes.

What I understood that MAAS's contract is
now guaranteed for the rest of the year.
What could be done as say MAAS to take a
pay cut for a long term contact at half his
pay. then hire printers with maas backing
him up. It worked well with RAY and MAAS.

You have got to be kidding. The guy plays two quarters and you’ve declared him out. Maas plays 25 games of crap and he’s the guy. Maas didn’t exactly light the scoreboard up. A couple of verthrown passes that could have been big gains. Then he hits on one long one…
Talk to me when Chang has had ten bad starts and I may listen.

Sigh.
Let’s get over Maas he’s no saviour. Let’s give Chang more than two quarters before you pro Maas guys start on him…
