Wow. I guess the way Texans are in general it comes with the territory. :?
No state income tax down there, no wage garnishment, and very hard for them to take any equity in your home so more power to them for not sticking it to the average dude in general like in most places despite this appalling luxury expenditure in tough economic times.
My friend doing some business there tells me that Dallas and most of Texas is booming unlike much of the country now.
Such an expenditure means no whining for them for federal assistance when something bad happens I say like those folks in Louisiana who can't keep their own houses in order whether natural disaster strikes or not.
This is cool, I am going to school with a kid who went to school in Allen, Texas last year when they won the 5A state championship, he showed me a video of the final few seconds of a game, and they had the whole lower bowl of the Cowboy's old stadium right filled, and the top had a lot of people sitting up there. It's amazing how they support High School sports in the states, so much more then Canada.
and then people wonder why the states is going through its worst recession since the great depression.
When our school let out kids for final period to watch our games we would have 500 people watch the first half and maybe 35 (mostly girlfriends of the players) people watch the second half.
Pathetic.
Quite pathetic. I don’t understand why that happens. In the States, sports events are held in high regard by the community and for the students, a great place to socialize with ones peer group. We just don’t seem to get that here; which is sad. 
Yeah, I find it unfortunate as well, I wish I was raised more in a sports culture like the States, with of course this being right here in Canada. Oh well, what do you do. 
What do you mean you were not raised in a sports culture like here Earl? Weren’t you talking about getting into fights all the time in your youth on another post? :? And didn’t you scare off that windbag on Windsor off lately to turn him beet red such that he walked out?

That seems like a lot of money for only 18,000 seats. The High School here in Massillon has Paul Brown Tiger Stadium. A 18,000 seat stadium. That can expand to 19,000. And It only cost $246,000…In 1938…lol
