6 players fined following Week 16 action

The topic that is provable is about penalties that resulted in fines. There are no list of every fine a team has committed throughout the year. therefore my response was to identify ONLY the provable fined Penalties. Anyone can make a claim without proof. Doesn’t make it accurate or even right. Yes offside and Interference are breaking the rules but are not necessarily dangerous so they do not get fined by the league. Name one team that has never gotten a penalty for offside or pass interference this year? It is part of the game and the penalty for breaking that rule is loss of yardage. Both the league and the Players association have been pushing for safety. There is no excuse when any player breaks any safe rule. Hence the fine to drive safety home to that offender.

Exactly ! But I was responding to the previous poster who claimed Ottawa and Hamilton had more penalties. The list of team players who were fined for unsafe

(mostly) rule breaking showed Sask with the most fines of all teams. There is no list of all infractions by all teams throughout the year. So stating Ottawa and Hamilton

Have more penalties cannot be proved. It might be the case or might not. So is irrelevant to the topic of Fined Penalties. That prompted my response about why I thought Sask was the Most penalized with fines.

I see a lot of blather on this thread, but you still haven’t answered my question:

I’ll answer it for you: once.

Now I do have to admit that one is a number, new math or old math. But when you write “a number of time (sic)”, most people take it to mean more than one time, so I find what you wrote misleading.

Also, if a single fine this year attracts your vote for “the dirtiest player of the year” then you will have to be voting for a lot of different players for “dirtiest player of the year”, because a lot of different players have been fined once. How do you plan to do that.

And where do I get to vote for my candidate for dirtiest player of the year? I filled out my first All-CFL ballot the other day, but I didn’t see a dirtiest player category.
