5 Things To Know: Argos, Ticats OK Tire Labour Day Weekend rivalry

It’s OFFICIALLY that time of year again, yep THAT time of year.

The one we talk about in the media all year long, the one you look forward to for months as a CFL fans, and the weekend that often defines and alters each teams’ season.

If The Chad gets closer to his 2023 form I can’t see how the Cats win this game.

The writer really underrates Chad Kelly’s abilities.

He’s getting there.

Oskee WEE win !!! Hamilton is gonna win a bunch of games starting with our annual freebie ie labour day… If the Cats could stop anyone we would have an upside down record… I know anyone can throw against us but minus the last bomber drive it’s getting better and the offense is good . Cats by 12

this is the Labour Classic. Ti Cats will play as if it is the Grey Cup game

As an Argo fan of six decades, I have always been confounded as to why the Boatman can’t win on Labour Day in Hamilton. It’s like a curse or a jinx. Strange things happen. Unexpected turnovers, trick plays by Hamilton, blocked punts. No matter how good the Argos are or how bad the Ticats are this is truly Hamilton’s Grey Cup. The last two years have been an exception with Argo wins. Prior to that it was 7 straight Ticat victories. I would never bet on the Argos to win on Labour Day. Argos are definitely the better team and the Cats will miss the playoffs, so Ticat fans enjoy this win as it might be your last this season. Should the Argos surprise me, it will be a sweet bonus.

No matter the team records, the Argonauts will always be welcomed at Tim Hortons Field with the famous two-word chant.
