5 moves that mattered on Day 1 of Free Agency

With the first day of CFL Free Agency almost coming to a close, there’s been plenty of news flying across our timelines.

Wow, why even pretend to be league-wide in focus when you can devote three of five spots to one team (SSK)?

Probably because the Riders were making the most big moves? We nabbed Jemarcus Hardrick from Winnipeg too, which is a huge boost to our offensive line. That probably could have been a top 5 move as well.

The title isn’t big moves, it’s moves that mattered. Well, every team makes moves that matter to them. Giving SSK three spots on a five-spot list is just lazy and myopic.

Jemarcus Hardrick is a pretty significant move I would say.

Hard to believe that she thinks only 5 moves mattered. This would be correct usage of the word ridiculous for a change.

Finally some Free Agent action that’s been lacking in the past few seasons. Good Moves!
BUT no focus on the QB building and that’s not good. Its time to build the team around a Franchise QB
Just saying

Then just finish LAST and take Nathan Rourke’s brother in the 2025 CFL Draft. Easy Peasy.

CFL should have a “Toilet Bowl” sponsored by Kohler with the winner getting the number one draft pick. Based on last season it would be the winner of Saskatchewan at Ottawa travelling to Edmonton.
