Hitch it was nice seeing you on that field for probably your last game of your proud CFL career  Kudos to Edmonton for calling on you for help!
I remember growing up in the same neighborhood and going to Glendale High with you.. The BEARS!.
I have a great picture of you holding my little guy on the field at Mac that will be on the wall of my rec room.
As Hamiltonians you made us very proud!to the steeltown tough kid who played every down with HEART
ALL THE BEST  :wink
Why Hitchcock EVER decided to come back for a few games with Edmonton this year, I'll never know.
He looked ridiculous on the TSN telecast, making botox jokes on the sidelnes, watching HIMSELF on a sideline monitor, and yukking it up with Fleming (who looked like he would rather crawl under a rock than be part of the "Rob Hitchcock" circus sideshow).
Is there anything more sad than a pro athlete who doesn't know how to bow out with dignity?
Well to the Rob hater. Its obvious you dont know who the heart and soul of this team was for better part of 12 years. It wasnt an American it was a kid who grew up in the east end of the city playing football.Nobody onthis board knows how Rob felt being let go of by his team other then Rob & Mike. If he felt he needed closure then great he got it last night. If you knew him at all then what you saw last night you would realize that it was Rob being Rob. And that is what the Cats lacked in the dressing room all year the looseness he brings to the field. Easy to be a critic when not in his shoes. Anyway way to go Rob and thanks for the memories With the Cats and at Glendale as well . One other Hitchcock note how many knew he was a Sports Illustrated college player of the week not bad for a Hamilton kid. All the Best Rob
Thought that the Eskimos showed real class by letting Hitch lead the team onto the field, knowing how much he meant to the fans. Little things that like go along way. Maybe thats why the Esks have been at the top of the league for years.

When will people learn that sentimental crap means squat. Rob was a great warrior in his time. It was over 3 years ago when he lost his Starting Safety spot.
Edmonton doesnt need to make Hamilton management look bad they do a good job on their own. Thank god the season is over. We seem to be going backwards in these Bob Young years.
This organization has lacked class for a few years now. Look what they did to another guy from the city bor and raised in the east end also and a grad of Glendale. Trevor Shaw released a few days before training camp. This team is a joke and the owner is the problem here by hiring these idiots that he has.
In the dying seconds we were trying to prevent the Eskies
from moving the ball down the field where they could
make a field goal and win the game by a point.
A bunch of younger fans all in black T-shirts
behind the Eskimos bench got Robs attention
and yelled out some enthusiastic cheers for him.
Rob was uncertain of what to do
but he gave them the thumbs up.
Out on the field Rob realized that
the Ticats Defence needed to step up
and prevent the Eskies from advancing.
