In thinking about about Congi's 55-yarder, what would the opinion be if (not likely it would happen) the CFL considered awarding 4 points for field goals longer than 50 yards? It was tried in NFL Europe, and I think it would bring an interesting element to the game, and a lot more attempts from beyond the 50.
Nah, it would be interesting to say the least, but it would create an unfair advantage in certain places like Taylor Field where wind can often play a huge role. You'd see a high number of 4 point field goals in Regina and Winnipeg and likely none in Toronto or BC.
No thanks, get rid of the single for missed field goals but keep it for long punts
