Kelly has paid a price for his atrocious behaviour and I hope he’s learned from it. He had a rough start today but was outstanding after the first quarter and the Argos deserved the win. Kelly will have more trouble next week against the Als. Should be a great game.
As 3DownNation writer Santino Filoso correctly pointed out:
“On a day when his offensive coordinator asked him to drop back and pass 61 times (yes, you read that right), Brown set a CFL playoff record by completing 46 of those. Overall, Brown connected on 75 percent of his passing attempts and finished with 476 yards, three touchdowns and the above-mentioned interceptions.”
Ottawa had no ground attack to take some of the load off of Dru Brown’s heroic shoulders AND no pass defense that could’ve made Chad Kelly’s day more challenging.
“There’s no sugar-coating that the majority of the blame for this playoff loss lies squarely with Barron Miles’ defensive unit. In particular, the secondary.”
Dru Brown had an incredible day with 46 completions and 476 yards passing. It was all for not as the pass defence was atrocious. Red Blacks can be a top tier team if they fix the secondary. With the tiger-cats on the prowl and a revamped Ottawa secondary ,next year could be amazingly close
One of the keys for me was the depth at the receiving position. With their nd leading receiver out of the line-up-Damonte Coxie The did not miss a “Beat” Kevin Mital-David Ungerer & Jake Herslow are definitely on the rise Both Offensive lines performed well. The Argos tackling and secondary were ineffective especially in the first half. The are more than capable of defeating the Als in the East Final. May the best team Win
