Play calling by Pierce was awful. Brady, Brady, Wilson, Brady, Brady, Wilson and a few passes to the others. Ya think Sask didn’t see a pattern. And don’t get me started on the officiating. Worst I’ve seen all season.
Bad refs abound in this game. Some very blatant bad calls on the Bombers for surevery surprised the command center did not step in to overrule on at least one of them
Everything could’ve gone better… especially that ridiculously short interception thrown by Zach Collaros just outside the Red Zone that cost us points… which was almost as bad as Nic Demski’s rookie-like late game Red Zone fumble that also cost us points.
Two hands on the ball Nic. Geez. We almost coulda woulda won that game if not for all those brain farts.
At least that near 30,000 crowd in Regina got their money’s worth. On Labor Day we’ll show 'em who craps best in the bucket dad gum it.
Riders full credit for win although if I’m a Bomber fan I am seething over undeserved pass interference. As Glen Suitor says let the players decide the outcome not the refs.
What a difference a year makes. Last year Riders were helpless against Bombers ground attack but on Friday Olivera had no reason for any helmet slapping. He got shut down and it looked good on him
The previous three seasons, the bombers just shrugged off the bad ref calls. They just were good enough to overcome those bad calls by just getting it done on the Feild despite the refs
The refs really had a bad day out there and not all of the bad calls were against the Bombers. There were 2 obvious blocking from behind not called and a clear hold on the D line on the play right before the interception. That last one ended up not mattering, but It was on a long Brady run that should have been 1 and 20 negating the first down run. Officials aside the Riders really outplayed the Bombers and were clearly the better team on offence and defense.
Yes, the Riders outplayed us… in those obsidian grey uniforms what should’ve made it virtually impossible to mistake our bright white (with a teensy bit of blue and gold) players for yours. How Zach managed to throw a pass right to a dark defender who was standing ten yards in front of his brilliantly light target is beyond me. Something’s going on his head. I think Zach is whack.
Do you guys have a team shrink on your staff who could come over and de-whack him? We’ll pay his bus fare (and maybe his beer tab). Our own team shrink is up to his armpits in aging vets approaching mid-life crisis right now.
