You do enough to win close games is all that is required… nay sayers always find faults. Naysayers also whine when the team they hate wins in a blowout by claiming they just played a crap team and ran up the score to rub it in.

Nay I say.

That one man wrecking crew you have at middle linebacker (Jameer Thurman) sure has a motor. And Trevor Harris looks ageless throwing to Samuel Emilus. That’s a good one two combo.

But a team needs more than one threat on O and D or. It all falls apart by game three

Hey you. All those mangled jolly green bodies will heal in time to make things interesting or my name isn’t Ahhnold.

I always had confidence in Hudon, He runs the ball really good, they should use him a lot more on the offence, he always appeared to have the knack for gaining yards, in the very little I’ve seen of him since he;s been here, it’s good he got a chance to play a lot,

Never make last second changes on a whim. Especially if you’re betting against yourself.:grinning_face:

Full credit to the Riders for pulling it out. I’d be concerned about Ouellette. The hit looked relatively harmless but the hit on Hyman this year didn’t look all that bad either. The Riders seem a bit snake bit again.

The REDBLACKS? It’s one game but they came out looking like the 2024 version - no commitment early to establish any semblance of a run game, iffy OL. They are the CFL version of the AMC Gremlin. Don’t look too bad but an ugly back end. It will be interesting to see if the complete overhaul of the DB’s will fix those issues.

I do like what I see from Brown & he has a lot of great receivers to utilize. But I don’t think throwing the ball 40 times a game is a recipe for success. Granted, they got behind badly in the 3rd quarter.

Anyway, it’s the first game of the season.

@rider01.1 please don’t become that Naysayer. Riders won & dominated in several aspects of the game all the while the infermiere was full, this is game 1 a bit of sloppy is expected.
1-0 only 17 more games to go

I will take any win with a smile on my face. Often a smirk too.
Both teams need to fix some stuff on D. However, the rider pass rush won that game in the last few minutes. So , gotta love that as fan of the green.
AJ might not have job shortly is the biggest topic open to banter me thinks.

Saskatchewan fans should be very happy after last night. they dominated the majority of the game despite their numerous injuries including 4 starting O Linemen being down. The only reason Ottawa was in the game was because of their generous turnovers and inability to catch interceptions.

Ottawa fans should be worried. Despite the manpower advantage they enjoyed they were horrendous in pass protection, the running game and the secondary. If they play like that again Ottawa may very well turn out to be the worst team in the league this year.

Riders looked dominant for most of the game but still found a way to almost snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Once again Rider O linemen have gone down like ten pins. The curse continues. Very entertaining game Great to have another CFL season to enjoy

Oline did a great job against a very good front four. Colins and Johnson at LT were exceptional and yet still managed to exceed my expectations.
