Another NFL weekend is upon us.
Now tonight is effectively a playoff game for the Ravens and the Dolphins, for they both have only two wins, and well having to run the table in the remaining weeks is not in the cards for the team with a loss tonight.
Hello coach firing! Hello trades! The trade deadline is next Tuesday 4 November.
But clearly I don’t see anybody here excited about this game, as I am not, and it has the looks now of another real “farter” on Amazon Prime on Thursday night after merely one quarter of play.
On with the rest of the games on Sunday.
Remember that we are re-setting our clocks on Sunday, so our weekends are an extra hour long, but if you need the daylight on Sunday for anything, you better get your ass up earlier and get out there either before the games start or before halftime in the first part of the Sunday slate.
The Ravens had maybe the toughest schedule in the league up to now, but play their next 5 games against non playoff teams and still play the Steelers twice. Cue the comeback.
Weak opponent, but Dolphins have been playing better than the Ravens lately. We’ll see. Saw the early easy 2 TD’s by the Ravens but then switched to the Jets game. As you said, this game isn’t must see. Lamar doesn’t look 100%.
Well that’s more like it for Lamar Jackson with four touchdown passes so far tonight here in only the third quarter.
This is a great warmup for him in his return, for it looks to me like he can play pitch-and-catch against these Dolphins, who stink like a swamp.
I’m not sold either, they play in a weak division so they will likely make the playoffs, they could win the division yet as they play the Steelers twice. Factor in the Steelers are nothing special with Rodgers at the helm and the Bengals and Browns have QB injuries, first for the Ravens is possible. That being said i will say that from what i’ve seen from the playoff Lamar Ravens is they will flame out in the post season once again, the Ravens and Bills seem to have the same playoff mojo. Either that or the Chiefs are their daddy.
The incomparable Al Michaels hilarious tonight. Made me laugh out loud.
His sidekick was yapping about Halloween and asked him about whether he was looking forward to it and Al made a sarcastic remark about how much he was and how he would be going out wearing a bathing suit. All without breaking stride or any inflection. You had to hear it. Classic! Al is a master of blowout games and never hides his disdain.
Panthers beat the Packers with a walk off field goal. Packers deserved to lose because of their uniforms alone.
Colts lost easily to the Steelers for some reason.
Patriots by one over the Jekyll and Hyde Falcons.
Denver about to steal a tie game with Houston on a walk off field goal. Watched that game. Houston was up all game, but couldn’t move it at the end. Houston clearly the better team, but lost Stroud to a concussion early and their backup couldnt cut it.
Off to a tidy 0-2 start in the pool with the Indy loss.
I thought the same thing and then the Bengals got 2 TD’s in the final 2 minutes only to have their defence give up a 60 yd game winning TD with about 20 seconds left.
