How close will this game be for the NY Giants against the -7 Eagles?
Meh, it’s a night game and for the Eagles on the road, so much more is possible, including the Eagles pooping the bed again!
I count on NOTHING after the meltdown in the fourth quarter last Sunday by my Eagles!
Not very close I expect. The Giants looked like they might be improving for a while, but laid an egg against the Saints last weekend so I don’t like their chances.
There’s always baseball and hockey and for us Winnipeg fans the Jets play their home opener featuring the debut of Jonathan Toews in about an hour.
Eagles homer live radio feed!
Out west Canucks play the hated Flames.
The Eagles started a nice drive and then pooped the bed for it to stall, but hey a field goal is an acceptable start.
But to win games and to not let the opponent hang around late to still have a fighting chance like in some prior games, the Eagles can’t make a habit of field goals and zeroes when starting drives with good field position.
Alright, that’s enough from Paolo Homer Radio for now, back to the game.
Skattebo Skattebo Skattebo.
And that’s exactly what I mean with the Eagles figuring out how to screw it up on the very next drive by the opponent after underwhelming in performance - now Giants 7 Eagles 3 already
Now Giants 13 Eagles 10, and it’s at the end of the first quarter.
We have quite a game at hand tonight.
Didn’t foresee this!

Touchdown Eagles with a nice comeback!
Eagles 17, Giants 13

Amen Brother
And somehow the Eagles’ game made it to the half before the Phillies’ game has finished, with the Phillies fighting for their future too.
Giants up again, 20 to 17.
Eagles, this is unacceptable.
Giants 27, Eagles 17 now about halfway through the third quarter.
The Eagles have given up 105 yards rushing, which is bad in the modern NFL, and THREE rushing touchdowns.
Woeful!
Here the Eagles have to go now late in the game with yet another comeback effort.
That’s not anywhere near playoff form.
Oof, rookie quarterback Jackson Dart is the real deal already and has outplayed Jalen Hurts tonight.

Hurts just threw an interception that was returned for 68 yards to the Philadelphia 23.
Now it’s Giants 34, Eagles 17.
Stick a fork in the Eagles tonight too!
What a bad night for Philly sports fans.

It’s time to bump the game day thread!
After the Eagles’ bruising loss, here today on TV we have our choice of
Cowboys at Panthers on Fox
Browns at Steelers on CBS
I figure the Cowboys might be the best team of these four, but we’ll see what these Steelers are made of or not against the lowly Browns, whom they should dominate but in that division, it’s often a close fight more often than not.
So far in Pittsburgh it’s Steelers 3, Browns 0 with a field goal on a strong side wind to the right, and
Panthers 3, Cowboys 0 on still winds.
Didn’t see the game, but looks like a clunker earlier today in London.
Denver beat the Jets 12-8 and had 9 sacks. The Jets had 82 yards total offense and -10 yards passing. Oi vay. Justin Fields might be looking for work soon.
After Field’s second chance in Pittsburgh, he was clearly damaged goods.
I have no clue as to why Justin Fields is still even a starter in the NFL, let alone he basically could be a third-string quarterback for garbage time late in the season at best.
Fields is yet another example of how vastly different the NCAA pro game is from the NFL, as in any given big man on campus on especially offence often does NOT translate to star if even average in the NFL.
Fields is also another example what that NFL Draft pedigree still gets for a failing player, even here in the age of analytics to help in the NFL Draft as opposed to all that hot air from the likes of the NFL Scouting Combine and media like ESPN driving their big-time college football agenda with the picks.
2021 NFL Draft
The Bears traded up with the Giants to select Fields at 12th.
The next pick? Micah Parsons by Dallas, who traded up to get him.

Well I’m true to form already this season, and consistency is important too you know because…

Oh never mind, I’ll be starting out 0-2 in this week’s picks, barring a wacky comeback by Miami or Jacksonville, again for the latter, at home.
Pound heavy sand Dolphins and Jaguars, you Florida frauds!

And the comebacks are on in Florida and in New Orleans!
Cardinals at Colts and Cowboys at Panthers are all even now in the 4th quarter in shootouts!
Today, the Ravens decided to take another publicly-visible dump in their own house.
The only good news for the Ravens is that the Browns and the Bengals are in their division.
Seahawks are not a complete dumpster fire - why did the Vikings dump Sam Darnold - Seahawks picking him up was a no brainer.
Ladies and Gentlemen:
The best Sunday and Thursday show in football is now on CBS, with Jim Nantz presiding, who has been sneaky good with his game picks for work, opting for great weather here in Philadelphia last week probably to catch the Phillies on Monday, but opting with great timing for Tampa today to evade all the wet weather in the Northeast.

At quarterback for the 49ers is Mac Jones, who is already having a hard day via the Tampa Bay defence and his receivers letting him down on routes and throws.
