2025: Live CFL Games via CBS and CFL+ and YouTube

I had no issues with the volume on CFL+.

Sidenote: I like the new TSN scorebar.

For those watching, in the United States,
all games except those on Fridays,
from 12 June through Saturday 12 July,
will be on CBS Sports Network.

CFL+ of course is at hand for Friday Night Football.

And Pirate Sports Network will sail on those other nights, including tomorrow, Thursday 12 June 2025.

I am liking the CFL + so far, the only issues I have had are…

  1. Am I missing something or do I have to fill out a form every time before accessing the video? It’s not much to do but I can see that turning people away because it just pushes them to some other way to get instant access. You have to make the content easy to get to IMO.

  2. Not a fan of the games being archived for only 48 hours. I love that they archive, I just wouldn’t have a limit on how long they were up. You’ll get people getting into the season mid year and they might want to look back and catch up. Seems no limit would be more fan friendly. I am sure there’s some reason for the 48 hour limit but if you want to get more fans you have to make the content more accessible.

The only reason you should have to fill out the form again is if you have changed networks or device.

Of course if your network has changed IP address, well then of course you would have to do so as well.

That’s the issue, I knew I had to be missing something. When at work they use a VPN for security. Lucky enough where I can have the games on in the background while on the clock. The archive is the only other issue I would have then with CFL +, 48 hours seems too short to me. Best case scenario would be an indefinite archive but at the very least I’d keep up to a season prior.

Rinse and repeat here for a few more weekends in US.
It’s CFL+ on Friday nights and CBS Sports Network for all other games through 12 July.
Pirate Sports Network will be asail for some of those games on CBS.

Be thankful we do have CFL+ and other options for the CFL, for it could be far worse in the US.

Another case in point is the FIFA Club World Cup, which I don’t care about but for perhaps later in the tournament.

It’s telling enough that Fox did not pick up those rights, especially in the run-up to their World Cup coverage in 2026.

The viewing options are DAZN, TNT, TBS, truTV, YouTube TV, Univison, Unimas, and TUDN.

I know of zero people in the US with DAZN, which is a common service outside the US.

I have no doubt that far more people in the US are watching on Pirate Sports Network rather than signing up for DAZN or YouTube TV, for those who won’t watch the few matches in Spanish on free over-the-air Univision.
