My guess is Rourke gos in rounds 3-5 and Elgersma is a UDFA. Elgersma may slide into round 7 because he’s a QB.

Unfortunately Tiger won’t be hitting balls any time soon, after he ruptured his Achilles.
On the other hand, at least it wasn’t on the leg that he shattered in that car accident…

Good for Taylor Elgersma. Good for Canadian University football.
My question is , if he doesn’t make an NFL roster or Practice Roster is there a CFL team willing to take a chance? He was a guest at our training camp last year, so Milanavich has some insight for sure.

Every CFL team brings in a USport QB for training camp. It’s good training for the Canadian QBs and gives the starting QBs’ arms a rest.

another good thing would be to eliminate one of the stupidest rules in the league where a National QB doesn’t count as a starting National player.

This has probably been reported elsewhere . . .
The San Francisco 49ers used the 227th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft (their first of three picks in Round 7) to select Kurtis Rourke.
I have no idea who Rourke will be competing with for either the QB2 or QB3 role; Brock Purdy is entrenched & untouchable as the starting QB1 in San Francisco.

Old saying - the lower the Canadian guy goes in NFL draft, the higher he’ll go in CFL draft.
My guess is that San Fran got their fill of linemen and DBs so they burned a late pick on Kid Rourke.
Suspect Rourke will now go in the 2nd or 3rd round as Hamilton may think he’s vulnerable on the NFL spectrum.
