2024: who doesn't make the playoffs?

Forget power rankings. This is a nine-team league. Three teams will not make the playoffs. Who ya got?

On paper, I’m going to say Calgary, Hamilton, and Ottawa.

No matter what order you put the teams in it would appear that great minds think alike .

It will be close. But the Halifax Schooners won’t be there come November

My reasoning behind not picking Toronto was that MLSE would just hire a ringer or pay off the referees.

you are crazy if you think the Stamps miss the playoffs, no matter what we are still better than Elks, Riders and REDBLACKS

Montreal - Hamilton- Edmonton

Well - Last year everyone picked Montreal to miss the playoffs so I am glad to see so many picking Edmonton.

West - all out dogfight - who will miss? Really hard to pick. Riders have run game but Harris can only throw 10-15 yard passes so offence struggles some, and they lose a couple on rookie coach decisions in game. Calgary - has Maier and is hoping for Schiltz to be the guy. Elks will be far better, by virtue of the offence staying on the field longer, the defence will be better too. BC - not sure they have the dominant D-Line they did, but they will contend. Winnipeg will be as good as last year but lack some depth, so staying injury free will be necessary to stay on top.

East - Hamilton has a lot of spots to fill. Between unsigned, retired, and signed with another club they have 19 open spots on their FA list. Toronto and Ottawa scrap it out for 2nd and third, and Montreal picks up where they left off last season.

So since we go back to the balanced everyone plays everyone twice schedule - Hamilton - Toronto - Calgary.

The only real spots that Hamilton have to fill are the two outside LB positions . Also fun fact time here …Hamilton and Toronto have both never missed the playoffs in the same year . Fun fact time part two … both teams from Alberta ( Calgary , Edmonton ) have also never missed the playoffs in the same season as well .
