Thanksgiving Day games are always an intriguing time to watch classic football. It all kicks off with the Detroit Lions taking on the Chicago Bears, Dallas hosting the NY Giants and Green Bay vs Miami. Enjoy the games and Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our American users! Hopefully, it’s a great day of football.
I didn’t realize we would be getting 3 games today
Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating too.
That pesky Joe Pesci will not play, and word is there might be a hit out on him too, but not this weekend due to the holiday weekend.
Anyway, this reality might make for a better game coming up in about an hour, as the current game in Detroit is surprisingly now close.
Lions looking to lead the league in injuries.
Oh well, they held off the Bears. I am surprised to hear it was that difficult in what looked like a bad fourth quarter for the Lions.
Would the class like to discuss?
Radio Feeds: Giants at Cowboys
If you don’t have Sirius XM, here’s the Giants’ homer feed:
Final

Detroit 23
Late in the 1st Quarter NY Giants lead Dallas 7-3
That? Is why you fire head coaches.
You have a chance to tie the game and because you want to save a timeout with 23 seconds on the clock - you let the clock run out and don’t even kick the tying FG.
Worst clock management seen in 2024 in any league…
What happened? Did we win?
Who’s bringing what to Thanksgiving?
Matt Eberflus: I’m bringing an unused time out.
Homer sports media ought to be a hoot there over the weekend.
And will he be fired on Monday?
Didn’t see the game, but now saw the highlights. What were they thinking? Another lost season fur the Bears when it looked like they might actually have something. Too bad.
I see Cowboys 13 Giants 10 at the half.
Drew Lock is 8 for 17 for 55 yards with one interception that was a pick-six. And he’s run twice for 28 yards.
Five of those catches are by the Giants’ receiver Nabers, so of course the Cowboys should know what to do in the second half with the pass defense.
Cooper Rush’s stats are also poor, but hey, the game is about WINNING!
And so for either team, just WHO at quarterback is warming up his arm on the sideline, including if Lock poops the bed again?
I hear it’s some guy named Boyle and Spitshine Mahoney for the Giants, but I don’t know for sure.
Paolo:
/Looks at coach
Matt Eberflus:
Take a time out for a field goal are you saying, Paolo? Why slow down the momentum on our drive!?
We’ll just run a play and if one of our guys has a chance if we can’t get it into the end zone, he can just drop kick it.
coach was thinking “I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts…”
Also,
/Imagining Matt Eberlus at the Press Conference:
“Saving timeouts? Of course I save my timeouts! You don’t ever want to be without a timeout in the NFL! Who do you think you are thinking like that? If you listen to any fans thinking like that as a coach, you’ll be sitting by them very soon I tell you!”
Media:
/Hush comes over the room
//Murmurs and nodding together in agreement at that very last part
If Eberflus is not fired on Monday, I’m not sure what else is wrong with the Bears, but then again they do need to find a suitable replacement, so maybe one more week, win or lose?
Listening to the Giants’ radio call, wow are they so depressed also because there was zero pass rush on that touchdown pass by the Cowboys.
It appears the Giants have opted for the “Mississippi” defense here in the second half, which means no blitz and you have to count 8 Mississippi before any player rushes the quarterback.
Now with the Giants back on offense, it sounds like at least we can appreciate Drew Lock taking sacks today like a man.
We don’t have enough time for the list.
