2024 NFL Regular Season

I had no idea. Well, three more years are on his contract, but he’ll have to re-compete to make the team no doubt given the inevitable overhaul after being the first to ten losses this season.

The native of Windsor, Ont. had arguably the best game of his rookie campaign on the U.S. national holiday, catching all five passes thrown his way for 54 yards. In 12 games this year, he has hauled in 29 receptions for 331 yards and one touchdown.

For those who may have missed it, a brutal illegal hit laid out Trevor Lawrence yesterday, knocking him out and eliciting the clutched fists concussion response. Likely a suspension to come. At least the perpetrator apologized, although I’m not buying his “family is everything” crap.

In general, we need better sportsmanship. From cheap shots to gloating, I don’t like any of it.

I’m sorry to hear that. He’s the greatest college athlete I ever saw play in person. He absolutely destroyed us and I had no idea who he was before that game.
I didn’t like him then but I’ve changed quite a bit and now I appreciate him.
Best wishes on his recovery.

I was never a big fan of his on field antics and me first attitude, but he was a great player. And no one deserves to get sick and possibly die way too early, although it unfortunately happens.

I resemble that

“Mama said KNOCK YOU OUT!”

It’s hard enough to lose, especially also on national TV, but make mom mad too?

Mom: “Are you finished with your food now?”

Then I bet she took his plate before he could answer and NO DESSERT FOR YOU.
:flushed: :confounded:

It’s mostly up from here today Lamar.

“Yes, my momma just told me that,” Jackson said when asked if he could have run the ball more, via NFL.com. "She just cussed me out, so I’m mad. We’re going to get after it. I’m not going to lie to you; we’re going to get after it. I can’t wait for this bye [week] to get on. We have the Giants coming up. I’m ready to go. I’m just ready to go.

“She said there were lanes I should have [taken] and ran, but I was trying to let guys develop routes. We had developing routes. I was just trying to go through my progressions, but yes, she’s right. I’m sorry for this. I’m just mad, because I feel like we should win these games, and we’re not getting them done.”

This additional detail indicating a symptom known as jaundice was somewhat terrifying just now for me to read, for we don’t know the specific malady, but I myself had a disease that commonly has jaundice as a symptom,
though I did not have jaundice. He’s spot on about getting your lab work done on schedule and seeing your doctor at least once per year.

We can only hope he recovers now that he has been having great medical care, and it’s great that he is in the fighting spirit against this disease too,
which is an experience I know all too well from March 2020 to August 2021,
which coincided with the pandemic, yet the disease was not respiratory and had nothing to do with the pandemic.

Moss, 47, echoed the remarks in his introduction on “Sunday NFL Countdown,” while sporting a pair of sunglasses. His comments – and the use of the glasses – came in response to fans speculating about his condition after video surfaced of Moss recently appearing on ESPN with a yellowish tint in his eyes.

Moss did not reveal the specific issue from which he is recovering.

As if the Jets’ situation is not bad enough and most everybody has been sick of that damn Aaron Rodgers bojack for years, go figure are the New York Giants right there in the same area trying to outdo those New York Jets in misery?
:face_with_monocle:

Now Daniel Jones was not playing well, but now that the Giants got rid of Jones after the unnecessary humiliation of a double demotion to third string, these are the breaks.

Meanwhile the Ravens and future opponents of the Giants have great opportunities to pad stats in those games.

“The beatings shall continue until morale improves”?

If I die from the stress the Seahawks cause their fan, please someone add my widow to the class-action lawsuit…

Seven attempts from the goal line and walk away with nothing…

They are such a confusing team!
I don’t like to pick games involving them, for you don’t know which Seahawk team shows up, no matter the opponent.

Playoffs? Already the playoffs?

It’s early, but the playoff picture is at hand with four more weeks to go in the regular season, including with a divide emerging between the contenders and those who practically would have to run the table to have a shot to make the playoffs.

AFC

Tonight, the Broncos down 10-7 in the second quarter at home are in a de facto playoff game for the most part.

If the Broncos can’t beat the Browns at home to move them along in the playoff picture, well, is there much hope?

If the Broncos win to be 8-5, they are in the driver’s seat for the playoffs.

The Broncos also have a vested interest to pass the Chargers in their division, now at 8-4, for a higher seed and a weaker playoff opponent, even though practically speaking, the Broncos will be playing on the road no matter what if they do make the playoffs.

But if the Broncos lose tonight and will be 7-6, well guess what? There still is hope for the 7th seed because it gets worse after them in the AFC with the Colts and then the Dolphins for that 7th seed.

NFC

Here we can see the heated battles for the NFC West and the NFC South divisions, full of parity, for the third and fourth seeds and the important home playoff games in the first round.

For those two divisions, it’s practically winner-take-all and second play staying home.

Otherwise, the five other teams in the top seven are in the driver’s seat now.

Repeat offenders (he has already been fined once this season) get rough treatment by the NFL.

He needs to look up a guy named Birfect and see what happens in the NFL when you continue being and idiot.

We now know that he got 3 games. Not bad and no doubt more than the CFL would have given.
