Thompson is likely going to have all new staff and that staff will simply be instructed to “build a winner ASAP”
and that means Ford won’t be back, why? they need to have success in all facets of the offense, not just running the ball. the offense has been all over the place this entire season and All of Ford’s wins were against teams that were bad or struggling at the time. the moment Ford came up against the top teams in the league, he did not have success, which lead to frustration, which lead to mistakes… which lead to him not starting another game.

- Ford has to learn how to feel comfortable in the pocket and STAY in the pocket when he is required.
- Elks want to be successful NOW and Ford is not going to lead them there… sure if Elks plan was 3 years then you could have a case for him staying and being their #1.
They need a bonafide #1 now, in 2025. Not 2026-27.
they will not give him starting QB money when he has not proven himself as a complete QB yet.
i know you guys won’t like this but the best thing for Ford is to go Montreal and be Fajardo’s backup and have Calvillo as his mentor! learn the game, become solid in all areas… then he’ll be ready to step in.
