2024 CFL VGCC Week 9 Picks

Thanks!! Elks make record breaking losses and I make record setting whine and cheese!! Us two are pathetic!

The hit parade this week - what would Dylan, John, Mick & Michael say???

Lions coming into town & they know what to do,
Hit them hard & leave 'em there, “Tangled Up In Blue”.
Chew them up & spit them out, no place left to go.
Bombers left to hang about on “Desolation Row”.

The "Cats are takin’ on the Als, can they “Come Together”?
“Here Comes The Sun” or is it “Rain”, what will be the weather?
Is Bo this season’s “Nowhere Man”, or not yet reached his peak?
Either way the Als can beat the "Cats “Eight Days A Week”.

Korte, Foucault, Grohovac - say it nice & loud.
Thurman, Johnson, Korte-Moore, “Get Off My McLeod”.
Now they’re playin’ in Mosaic, there’s no turnin’ back.
Future’s dim even with Ford, gotta “Paint It Black”.
Elks keep stumblin’ on the road, they can’t get no traction.
Gotta feel bad for the team, “Can’t Get No Satisfaction”.

The Argos coming into town, ‘Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’.
Gonna beat the Stamps real “Bad”, givin’ them a thumpin’.
Argos are the better team, hard for Stamps to “Beat It”.
A loss for Stamps tough pill to take, they will have to eat it.

After the mix of picks by everyone last week, i expect the picks this week to be consistent across the board bar maybe the last matchup.
Good luck folks.

:bclions: Lions Outside of Oliveira, Nichols, and Tyrell Ford, I don’t see where else the Bombers have an advantage over the other team. Collaros will get steamrolled into retirement at this pace

:als_red: Als The Als have the whole pony corral pulling the cart. I can’t say the same for the Ti-Cats defense.

:riders: Riders Burn me once, shame on you, burn me twice, shame on me, burn me thrice, time for some ice. No more Elks picks for me until they can prove that they can win.

:stamps: Stamps Its a matter of seeing which team wants to lose more, and to me it looked like Toronto really wanted to lose that game against the Bombers last week. I doubt that Arbuckle could hand the Stamps a second curb-stomping in a row.

BC Lions
Montreal

Calgary.

5 days rest between games for Winnipeg. So 2 days off after a game (per CBA) and one days rest before the game (CBA again) leaves 2 days for practice - unless the team elects to only practice one day

Same would apply for Hamilton this week.

Add to this the fact the Bombers are the last team to get a bye next week. It would’ve been nice to get the bye instead of giving Ottawa their second one first.

The schedule making software sure doesn’t get scrutinized that well.

WPG - Odds are against it, but they just have to find a way
Ham - Again, going against the odds, but Hammy has momentum
Sask - Even I can’t take this much of an upset

CGY - Tor was very lucky to pull out a win last week at home

:bclions: BC Lions
:als_red: Alouettes de Montréal
:riders: Saskatchewan Roughriders
:argonauts: Toronto Argonauts

Toronto a une fiche de 3-1 Ă  l’étranger et Calgary s’est effondrĂ© contre les Bicolores. L’issue de cette partie n’est pas aussi claire qu’il ne paraĂźt.
