Who would’ve predicted that all the home teams lost?
just me and one other.
Hamilton losing at home was an easy prediction, Montreal on the road was an easy prediction. People still underestimating Ottawa. BC losing at home, everyone predicting the Lions easy victory with the saviour Rourke back

I believe 4 others, and the Ottawa - Calgary outcome was decided by the Command Center.

Nevertheless congratulations on going 4 & 0

Odds of an all-road sweep were not high. Wow. Quite the outlier week.

@disciplineandpunish You’re in the lead for at least this week. Enjoy the view at the top while you have it.

As a typical Manitoban, my picks are mid and I sit at 29/58 (worse, though, when you consider 8 participants have made less than 30 picks).

And sorry to the Rider and Ti-Cats fans who went 0-4…it was only the Bombers who saved me.

How much do I have to pay you to “make something happen” to Maaax and MackDavid?

Seriously, though, another tough week of picks. It’s that time of the year when you could make a reasonable case for picking any team in any game (except maybe Hamilton at the moment).

@Maaax’s beaver brigade and @Paolo_X’s Pirate Crew unfortunately outnumber my legion of minions. If you can afford implants for every beaver than you might be able to make a case.

Maaax is the defending regular season champion so watch out. Beavers are always busy and resilient.

Just for funsies I searched last year’s Week 11 stats and they are linked below.

My suspicions were confirmed and it’s not even close. The newfound CFL parity has made this the toughest season to predict games in quite some time. Winning percentage of the field is way down. So are perfect weeks. Last year after Week 11 many of us had an aggregate of over +300 already with many more over 200. This year the top aggregate is +202. A tough year for pool participants overall so far.

More than double the perfect weeks. We’re only at 45 right now.

No…I said BC would lose…and that Rourke would put up pedestrian numbers…of course he did far less than that.I haven’t been doing weekly picks…but maybe I should… leading out private draft…
Lost ground due to Lauther and bad Pi… grrr

I also picked the Bombers
The larks easily could have lost so that too was not an easy or sure pick

BTW…I have been saying that Rourke hype is overblown. Half a season isn’t big enough sample to make him head and shoulders above his peers. please remember he is still an inexperienced QB. Lots of potential but lots of learning to do too.

You absolutely did so, of course in defense of Nathan, it’s hard to complete a pass from the supine position.
Sidebar, you should join in the fun of the VGCC, you won’t win this year, just practice for VGCC 2025. BTW they have other challenges NFL, NHL and I’m not sure maybe golf and basketball, I don’t get involved with them. All are welcome.

Currently the other pools are NFL regular season and playoffs, NHL playoffs and the Masters. The NFL regular season pool will be posted and starts next week. Same rules as this pool except there are 6 games a week that are selected to be chosen from. The coveted Amazing Kreskin trophy is at stake.

Ya guys…I didn’t even know these “drafts” existed until about week 5 or 6. try for next year. I used to do well in a private NHL draft but that ended when the stats guy quit. Anyway I don’t follow the NHL closely anymore…and the NFL even less… for a reason. Decades ago I was a sportswriter, briefly, when athletes were “everyday” people. Interviews were easy (mostly) and athletes weren’t prima donnas. They didn’t make obscene amounts of money. When that upward trajectory started, my interest faded…just find it hard to support athletes that I wouldn’t invite to a family supper. I am keenly interested in the CFL because these guys risk their future health for little more, or sometimes less, than a plumber or truck driver.

To each his own, but I don’t think it is correct to paint the CFL as a league full of angelic players that are only in it for the good of the game. There’s a guy in Toronto and a guy in Montreal right now that don’t fit that bill. Used to be a guy in Saskatchewan a couple of years ago as well. Many others.

If you want to support more innocent type of athletes there is University and high school and peewee type leagues. I prefer to watch the best in each sport even if some of them are entitled a holes, but others don’t. Like I said, to each his own, but I guarantee you that the CFL isn’t lily white and altruistic, past or present.
