We start the season against Calgary, Sask, Sask and Ottawa. Every year is different, but potentially a better start then usual?
In terms of days between games and biweeks this is the best schedule we have had in years.

Thanks to @ottawacat for that summary.

From the players’ standpoint I am glad to see that the CFL schedule maker has eliminated the instances where a team is playing with only 3 days off between games; there was no excuse for that. I am sure that took an extra effort because the CFL is attempting to deliver content to TSN on 4 days (Thursday thru Sunday) of the week during the Summer.

I will correct one thing . . . during Week 9 of the schedule, the Tiger-Cats will be facing off against the Montreal Alouettes (Friday August 2nd) on 4 days rest btwn games. And that seems to be the only instance of that for the Tiger-Cats, so that is not so bad.
And I think it is great that the Tiger-Cats get a Bye Week following the Labour Day game this year; last year the Argos were given a Bye Week while the 'Cats had to travel to Ottawa on 3 days rest, which was stupid. The Argos will be travelling to play the RedBlacks on the Saturday following Labour Day, so that gives them 4 days, one of which will be a travel day . . . better than what the Tiger-Cats had to deal with last year (they actually won that game against a rested squad in Ottawa !!).

And speaking for myself personally, I like no Thursday night Home games, because we are travelling into Hamilton from north of Toronto . . . not fun during weeknight RUSH hour traffic.

So the schedule is in place . . . now we sit back & watch what sort of Roster emerges from the Laboratory !!!

Agree wholeheartedly with everything here.

That 10:30 PM est start in BC will be a tough one!

The bye week after the LDC will allow the Cats to re group for the second half of the season, especially if they are below 500 at that point. Hoping it is not another slow start again.

Not for us Ticat fans in BC. Would you prefer they start the game while everyone is still at work out here?

There have been many 4PM PST starts lately in BC
I guess this one didn’t work out with the EDM at WPG game before it

Just drink an extra cup of coffee that day.

Anybody out there tried to add the calendar to Google? Tried several times and it’s still not visible.

Thanks for catching that tough point, for the Cats, which I missed noting in my first look, at the schedule, and in starting this thread.

2 Sunday night home games? 6 of our first 7 games are on Sunday night.

Not a big fan of that.

They may be counting on our prayers to get off to a good start.

Schedule looks good overall…not stuck with a long nasty western road trip at beginning of season…so no excuse to have a bad start, like seasons past …with 1-4 and 0-3 starts.
Bad news is for us ticat fans os …we can’t just blame the schedule makers if we have another crappy team.

Ticats first regular season home game is on Father’s Day. I guess I’ll be missing that game.

I played around with the PDF and got the regular season schedule on a single landscape page. Here is a picture version that I hope fits on the screen and is readable…

I’ll see if I can post a PDF version here - I’m not sure I can.

Here is the pre-season schedule…

And the finals…

Thanks for doing this CC. I’m going to print it off and keep it on the coffee table as a quick reference. Nice touch also highlighting the Hamilton games. :+1:

Also not a fan of Sunday games. I always enjoying ending the work week on the couch watching away games on Friday nights.

Home games are great for Friday and Saturday as that’s your night out. Sunday night i want to be getting ready for start of the week.

If it’s on Saturday or Sunday then fine.

Should be 6 or 630 Pacific time for a better audience.

Works well for the NFL.

If fans wanted to attend midweek they would go anyways (booking a day off work ahead of time)

Now fans have 6 months to plan out their attending of games they want to attend.
