I’ve written before that I suspect that scheduling eighteen games each for a nine-team league is much more difficult than those of us who bemoan the results realize. I hope that someone with more knowledge of the math involved than me might weigh in on this question.
A tenth team, if it ever happens, could have the potential of making everyone happier in unanticipated ways.

I saw a show once where they explained NFL scheduling. Granted, way more teams, but the process was mind-boggling.

This was discussed previously on another thread.
The link wasn’t removed but rather carefully hidden. You can find it under “Game Zone”for some reason, perhaps because far more people, especially young people, play video games than watch football. Still…

I don’t know if this has been mentioned already.
Toronto doesn’t go on the road until Week 5. 3 home games and a bye in the first 4 weeks. Summer games were not well attended last year so I’m not sure why they did this.

Week one. The Grey Cup rematch. Although the revenge factor worries me a bit.
In 2021 week 1 was a rematch in WPG and WPG handed out their rings and hung their flags with Ham in attendance
2024 week one is also a rematch but again in WPG, preventing Mtl from treating Wpg the same way they treated Ham

Heard during ther broadcast last night that the Redblacks dont host another eastern team for another 10 weeks. Seriously, how is that even possible in a 9 team league? Absolutely idiotic
