It’s amazing how each and every game matters in the standings.

For example if Hamilton beats BC then I would be sitting in 6th place and holding a playoff spot. Instead I am in 12th place.

Looking at the schedule for the next two weeks it looks like it will be really hard to make up any ground now.

Just to further elaborate on high tight of a competition this is, I noticed that TR904 did not submit their picks this week. As a result they fell from 7th place all the way down to 25th. Holy crap. :astonished:

I have one of the lowest pick rates and I’m still above .500 :joy:. Competition is fierce here for sure.

No mercy here, to be sure. 13-3 over the last month & still fighting my way to halfway up the pack. I feel like Chris Jones, too little,too late. :roll_eyes:

Yup. Same here. I go 11-1 over the last 3 weeks but guys like Maaax still get seperation with 3 perfect weeks in a row. LOL.

Great fun though. I can’t wait to do it again next year. :+1:

Yup we should have two pools. One for the smart members and one for the rest of us.

Thanks Griddy. I will give it everything Calgary has (Jon picked BC) to squeak out a tie for first.

These are desperate times and I’ve pulled out all the stops. I even put an extra five bucks into the bribe envelope that’ll show up on your desk sometime this week.

I know you’re chomping at the bit (oops, I mean log) for a 1st place finish but it’s over. You might as well start resting your starters for the playoffs. :smile:

I had thought of that earlier in the season. Even for the playoffs you could have the top eight battle for supremacy and then divide the rest into six categories. In your group Crash and Arnie would have a first round bye. You would battle Abendschan in the first round. Krisiun would battle Aulcee. However, keeping track of all that would be a lot of work and I’m sure most people would rather do without.

Totally agree, way too much work for members who work for free.
This is also a fun pool up take part in and splitting it up into even two different elements as you described is not needed . I like the way it is.
I found it amazing how one or two team picks either way over two week being made different would have changed the results of the top 8.
I also like it the way it is because the also rans can keep looking on to see who wins

Well anything can happen but it will be tougher to move up this year with only 3 games the last two weeks and this week’s slate not lending itself to upsets.

No chickens being counted though. If I remember correctly I was two games up on the field last year at this point and went 3-1, 3-1. Aulcee was two behind and went 4-0, 4-0 to tie me in wins but those two last perfect weeks gave him the tiebreaker and first place. Too bad there are only 6 games left this year. :slightly_smiling_face:

There’s quite the race on to make it to the playoffs too. Aulcee promptly picked himself out of the playoffs last year and CFlukb came from back in the pack to claim the title and even picked the exact number of points scored in the Grey Cup. I felt like Greg Norman.
