Another week (almost) in the books with one major upset and one game left starting now.
This week we head into the annual Labour Day Classics and the schedule also changes as well now that we have hit September. No more Thursday through Sunday games which I will miss. One doubleheader day this coming weekend and a triple header coming next weekend.
The more I look at the slate of games the more I am starting to think this may be the toughest slate of games to pick so far this year. Lots of different dynamics for teams from even a few weeks ago and the home crowds on Labour Day can make a difference and historically unexpected results are common.
This week’s games:
BC at Montreal Saturday at 6:00 Winnipeg at Saskatchewan Sun at 6:00 Toronto at Hamilton Monday at 2:30 Edmonton at Calgary Monday at 6:00
Well it’s looking more and more like I’m also out of the running this year so I might as well pick with the thought as to what benefits my team the most .
So with that in mind here we go with my picks for the Labour Day weekend games…
BC at Montreal Saturday at 6:00
Winnipeg at Saskatchewan Sun at 6:00
Toronto at Hamilton Monday at 2:30
Edmonton at Calgary Monday at 6:00
Bye: Ottawa
I’m going all home teams, except for the last 3
Alouettes de Montréal
Please, please, please don’t play Fajardo
Winnipeg Blue Bombers
As Olivia Newton John would say,
Let’s get physical, physical
I wanna get physical
Let’s get into physical
Toronto Argonauts
Hamilton is just not ready yet, nice hair though.
Edmonton Elks
