What I didn’t like was that it was 3rd and 6 from the 7. They basically went TD or bust. If it was 3rd and 2 or 3 that’s a lot different with a lot more play options.

That's not good. Philpot's done for the day, maybe a week or two more. He was out before he hit the turf
I thought the CFL did a whole thing about helmets not being done up and coming off. Or did they think enforcing for a year or two was enough?
I don’t know what they did in the past but a few weeks ago Harris in Toronto didn’t do his up about 10 plays in a row and it came off 6 or 7 times and they did nothing.

There have been a ton of helmets all over the field so far this year - I would think the league would have said something about it to teams already.
I can understand in a pile it could come off but yeah, way way too many coming off way too easy.

Not a ton of penalties for MTL but they sure hurt themselves when they do get them.
6 for 80 yards so far.
Yup, two of those were "turnover" penalties, giving the ball back to the Ticats.
Make that 7 for 104 yards.....
He reached over and grabbed his opposite shoulder......well done except the camera caught it beautifully..

Pretty weak DPI. I’m a bit surprised it wasn’t overturned. If it wasn’t called DPI and challenged by Hamilton I don’t think it would have been overturned the other way either.
Montreal’s lack of discipline only rivalled by Sask. These ongoing misconduct penalties are going to get guys tossed on both teams soon.

Not the best way to entertain the fans in the stadium or at home .
If DPI was not such an almost TD reward when thrown in the end zone I would agree .
But it should not be iffy when the result is a gift of points it should be overt and obvious .
Montreal would have this game in their grasp if they didn’t keep taking penalties. Now a no yards on the punt. Who’s coaching this mess?
