The draft order in the first round will be a lottery since there was no 2020 season . The second round will be a "snake order". The Cats , for example ,could be the first to draft in the first round and then would be the last to pick in the 2nd round and so on .
I assume that the Als first rounder would still go to the Cats , per the Johnny Football trade .
Apparently all the teams have agreed to this new format for the 2021 season only .

With the Als' luck, they will give Hamilton the first overall pick and then not pick until the end of the second round.

Ce format représente essentiellement le seul valable dans les circonstances. Ça permet de retrouver un certain équilibre malgré qu'on ne puisse se fier sur le classement général (no sh*t). On verra par contre comment la diminution du nombre de ronde va affecter les différentes stratégies, principalement sur la variable de la provenance des joueurs. Très hâte à ce repêchage qui sera, espérons-le, la première étape de la saison 2021 de notre football.

I forgot we still had another pick from them. A lottery could indeed work out better for us, assuming MTL may have been due for a good season in 2020 and therefore picked low in the 2021 draft.

"This format is essentially the only one valid under the circumstances. It allows us to find a certain balance even though we cannot rely on the general classification (no sh * t). On the other hand, we will see how the decrease in the number of rounds will affect the different strategies, mainly on the variable of the origin of the players. We can’t wait for this draft which will hopefully be the first stage of our football’s 2021 season.

Apparently the picks will be made around 8: 30 PM on TSN . The Cats have 2 chances out of 9 of getting the first pick . Johnny Football just keeps on helping us and hurting the Als . This will establish the draft order for the spring draft .
