2016 Season Ticket Sales

After an unbelievable season, and so many entertaining home games in 2015, I am wondering how the 2016 season ticket sales are progressing?
The REDBLACKS seem to be tight lipped on this. Has anyone heard any numbers from any reliable source(s)?

Not numbers as such, just a comment along the lines that they're further ahead than they were at this point last year.

It would not shock me if they sell 20,000 season tickets.

It would not shock me if they sell 20,000 season tickets.
20k would be amazing. I'd personally be happy with 17-18,000. I know a couple of people that only attended a few games last season who went out and got seasons tickets for 2016. If we get enough people who do the same, I think its feasible.

From what I heard they are about 20% ahead of last year's totals at this time of year

Wow. that’s more “ahead” than I would have thought!

According to Jeff Hunt they are ahead of where they were last year at this time

Not surprising... Great on field product. First class facility and best customer service practice... They will come.

Jeff Hunt said today that current seasons tickets sales were approximately 15,500.

In Ottawa, ticket sales are up from last season, which featured a 2,000-seat drop in season-ticket holders from the 17,000 or so from Year One. That drop was not unexpected. Today, Hunt figures there are about 15,500 season tickets or the equivalent in packages for 2016 – and there is plenty of time to sell more before the first home pre-season game on June 13.

I thought sales would be a little higher given the Grey Cup appearance last November. The good news is we’ve not lost any, and still some time to go. 16,000 would be nice.

Still time for another 1000 to be sold .

I also thought there would be a bigger interest after finally having a good entertaining record setting team .

Mind you I find the CFL off season falls off the radar and the league and the team need more outlets for spreading the hype than just these web sites .

They are preaching to the choir here and doing a good job at it . They need to get the sitting on the fence fan to spend there money on tickets .

As Scanlan says, the hockey season is over and thoughts turn away from the Senators and now on to football. With the mini-camp and lots of news the REDBLACKS are in the news, expect more season/mini packages to be sold in the next month. The the individual tickets go on sale 1 June.

In year One, 2014, with the honeymoon full on and a capacity crowd in the stands, the team struggled on the field but it didn’t matter. This is why it’s called a honeymoon.

Talked to my ticket rep today. It sounds like season tickets will be sent out before the end of the month. :rockin: :rockin:

also heard they “may” bring back the “Season Tickets Pick Up Night”
was told stay tuned …

Sounds like something they’d do.

I hope they send them soon. Last year, the Purolator thing was a bit of a mess. They need to give themselves some time to react.

Just got my season tix today. Is it June yet? :rockin: :rockin:

I bought a mini-package so I have to print them out, I see that the Ticats have gone to "digital", is it an option to have REDBLACK season tickets paper tickets mailed/delivered?

Received only the cards did not get option on paper tickets . Would have liked the option .

Announcing less than 2000 left!

Is that 2000 left for home opener CRF ?

That has to be for the home opener. Jeff Hunt announced a couple of weeks ago that there were around 4,000 left for the home opener and the only way that you could buy tickets for the home opener would be to buy season tickets or the home opener package. It looks like they have sold around 8,000 or so home opener packages.
If you go to the virtual venue for the pre-season game there is close to 14k seats taken, so I would estimate close to 14k season tickets plus another 8k packages sold.
