Canada Day (Thurs. July 1st) 7pm ET Montréal @ Saskatchewan
Canada Day (Thurs. July 1st) 10pm ET Toronto @ Calgary
Friday, July 2nd 8pm ET Hamilton @ Winnipeg
Sunday, July 4th 7pm B.C. @ Edmonton
Not bad... my only complaint is the Toronto/Calgary game. Kind of a let down. You start off with a great Grey Cup re-match between the Als and Riders, and then you have Toronto and Calgary, a match-up with virtually no rivalry. I'm sure cflesksfan will want to kick me for even suggesting this, but why not have the B.C./Edmonton game as the second game? At least those two teams have a rivalry.
My two cents...
Edit: Or even better (and it'd make cflesksfan happy), why not have the Hamilton/Winnipeg game first, and then have the Grey Cup re-match? That would be a great way to kick off the season.
 When did I say I didn't like the game? My point is I didn't like the time slot it got. Try reading my post next time instead of spewing out the same tire "if you don't like it, don't watch it" stupidity when it doesn't even apply.
Based on the season ticket advertising I’ve seen from the Argh-nos (they’re trying to win me back, but it’s not working), it’ll be a home game for The Blue Team.
I like the schedule so far. Yes Chief, if the Eskimos get a bunch of Thursday games again you WILL here Eskimos fans complain about it and I'LL BE THE ONE leading the angry mob! Who else has had as many of Thursday night games as the Eskimos the last two years? Montreal is about the only one and lets' be honest if the Eskimos had that type of team, MAYBE we wouldn't complain so much! Look at the attendence numbers in Edmonton, THURSDAY NIGHT GAMES ARE NOT POPULAR!!!!!
Now it is weird to see Sunday games this early in the season. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact there is TSN and TSN 2 now? I hope there is no more Thursday games at all.
im thinking the calgary game got the bad timeslot and the non rivelry since they sell out on a regular basis.
Edmonton im sure as well get the thursday games since they have the fan support to sustain those games. probably wouldnt fly in a lot of other cities. hopefuly they wont have many this year.
I’m guessing a combination of factors. The Eskimos are probably the best team to take the hit in the west for one. This happens in other leagues as well. When the Maple Leafs play the Canucks in Vancouver, the game starts 4pm Pacific in order to give the centre of the universe prime time coverage of their awful excuse of a hockey club.
Personally I think the Eskimo fans are getting shafted big time. No team should have more then two home games on Thursdays. The only team for which Thursday would be near impossible is Saskatchewan because a lot of the fan base commutes large distances to Regina.
I’m a bit pissed about that one, I guess my account rep didn’t lie when he said no Thursday games this season, although he forgot to mention the Wednesday night opener.
I noticed the Argos have a few Wed game, that's a weird day to have games on. I'm only guessing that has something to do with the Jays (I haven't seen the Jays schedule) and their schedule. Now I noticed the Als got some Thursday games again. Is that a deal they have with McGill the same as the deal they have where their after Labour Day home games are always Sundays?
