Last year we had a little contest at this time of year in which people re-wrote bits of Shakespeare for football.
This year, to open it up to more people, I suggest a Haiku contest- that Japanese poetry style that doesn't rhyme and is always 3 lines with almost always a structure of 5-7-5 syllables.
What follows WON'T be my entries if this takes off but here are some samples.
On Saturday night
The Argos take to the field
Large cats smell fresh meat
or describing the offence from the early games
Fly ball- Left and right
Straight and true along scrimmage.
Why not pass downfield ?
If you like this idea- please enter or bump it until you are ready to do so.
