2 Cat Coaches Regina Bound?

This from the morning after Grey Cup blog of Rod Pedersen, Roughrider play-by-play radio guy:

"And I just heard this morning that a Ticats assistant coach told people this week that Corey Chamblin is coming to Saskatchewan with Rick Worman as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. We'll see."

If true, (re: Chamblin) in what capacity? as Head Coach?

I would assume Chamblin would be Head Coach.

From Drew’s ScratchingPost 2 days ago

on the CFL front, I talked to one source who thinks it's unlikely that Ticat DC Corey Chamblin gets the Riders' head job - former coach Kent Austin and Lions offensive coordinator Dave Dickenson are more likely candidates.
  • more and more, based on what I’m seeing and what I’m hearing, I think Marcel Bellefeuille is back for a fourth season with the Ticats.

Heck, please take Khari Jones also, and then I can at least hope that Marcel, if he stays, gets a new OC that can maximize the talent we have on offence rather than trying to cater it all aound Glenn's limited physical abilities

Does Greg Marshall return to be D coordinator now? He will have better talent

Of course as a HC. Lateral moves are pointless and maybe ever career damaging.

I believe (knowing this organization) that Brad Miller would become the new DC.

But then again, you never know.

Chamblin hasn't even interviewed for the job yet...

Can anyone recall if Greg Marshall was released by the Ti-Cats before he was hired as HC in Saskatchewan? That’s the way I remember it. I also seem to remember it was because the Tiger-Cats wanted a different defensive philosophy, and if I’m remembering correctly, then I don’t think we should expect Marshall back as defensive co-ordinator.

My guess is CC stays in the Hammer as DC.

Yeah, I could be wrong but my feeling is that, largely because of the playoff win in Montreal, nothing major changes - Bellefeuille, Jones, Miller and Glenn will all be back.

I’m hopeful that the young coaches and players learned a lot and the Tiger-Cats can turn the corner with them next year.

(They especially better learn how to beat that Winnipeg D!)

generally speaking, yes, although occasionally it is due to conflicts in personality or vision as well.

8) Yes Capt., Marcel did not see eye to eye with the way Marshall was running the defence, and Marcel actually got involved
with some of the defences being called at that time. Marshall was not going to be back in Hamilton this year even if he
did not get the HC job in Regina !!

Don't expect to see Marshall back here as long as Marcel is still the HC !!!

It may have been Marcel’s intention to release him if he had to, but he never said so publicly. Marshall signed in SK before releasing him could ever become a serious question.

Here’s a Dave Naylor blurb from the leadup to Marshall’s hiring in Saskatchewan:

8) Glenn will not be back next season !!!

Who’s our starter next year then?

Marcel will be back? I'll go out on a limb here: TiCats 9-9 in 2012, loss in East Semi-Final. Bill Murray will play the role of Ticats HC in the made-for-TV production that follows, titled "Groundhog Season".

   Cap'n:  What a depressing thought.  <!-- s:cry: -->:cry:<!-- s:cry: -->

Porter?

Burris?

Who?

Would it make you feel better knowing that staying the course can work? In 2010 Winnipeg went 4-14 and they stayed the course, finishing this year in first, with a 10-8 record and a Grey Cup appearance?
